Each dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented and piping hot! Loved the relaxed Bisto atmosphere too. Service was a bit hit and miss. Can’t believe we haven’t been before now - will definitely go back soon,

Amazing cuttlefish cooked with a light hand. Nice atmosphere in small rooms with tables spaced reasonably apart so you don't intrude on other patrons' conversations. Initial lack of service was recognised and rectified and thereafter very efficient.

Food tasty and artfully presented. Our favourite was the crispy whiting - sweet moist fish with the lightest of batters - outstanding! Very pleasant sitting on footpath seating. All let down by dreadful service - 20 minutes until we received a menu, tables uncleared etc. Need to lift your game.

Our family of 6 visited recently visited Clarke's, a much anticipated meal after reading reviews, talking to Stephen on the phone and hearing him speak on the radio. Unfortunately the evening was disappointing for a number of reasons and mainly related to front of house issues. - I had notified the restaurant that it was a special occasion and would have expected some acknowledgement of this as we arrived. There wasn't. - Two separate waitresses asked if we wished to order drinks. We did, the first time. Unprofessional. - One of our party received the wrong entree. This was removed and he sat and watched us eat our entrees then we watched him when his was subsequently replaced. Not the best start for a special evening. I will say we were not charged for his entree but only after the waitress asked 'how was our meal' and we responded about the incorrect entree. - mains were lovely but small. - desserts were correct but some were served to the incorrect people - unprofessional again. No one had swapped seats. Overall the quality of the food was very high however portions were very small. We have been to various perceived similar standard restaurants several times - Star Anise, Restaurant Amuse, Red Cabbage, Petite Mort - and always left feeling replete. We are not big eaters and did order bread and sides but there was no question about ordering dessert and we didn't feel full at the end of the meal. The faults may seem minor but remember our expectations were high and we spent $120 per head so expected top service. I did ring the restaurant the next day to discuss this and another query with Chef but received the answer phone so requested a call back. None came so I rang a few days later and spoke to someone who promised to discuss with Chef and get back to me. Again no response. So disappointing. Think we will celebrate elsewhere next time. -

FABULOUS degustation - our party of 5 loved every morsel! One minor let down was the poor wine service (when paying licensed prices for wine we do expect good service). Keen to return!

Atmosphere was buzzing. Our party of 5 had the Il Capo. Absolutely delicious food - full of flavour and interesting textures.

Friendly and informative waitress, oceans views from our window seat, lovely relaxed decor but food a bit hit and miss. The zucchini fritters were undercooked, the feta tasted as though it was on its way out and there was a piece of black slimy rocket in the salad. The chef defended all of these complaints which was a bit disappointing. The mains of pumpkin risotto and braised barramundi were quite a different story, both being absolutely delicious, particularly the thick fillet of fish which was juicy and cooked to perfection with a lovely crispy skin.

Technical dishes executed with precision, flair and imagination. Superb service both at the tastings bar and at table. An elevated dining area affords views over the vineyard and gardens. Favourite dishes - the scallop/sweetcorn entree and rhubarb/raspberry dessert. Do yourself a favour - just go there!

Sensational food, beautifully presented. Make sure you leave room for dessert - the honey mousse and fig/malbec desserts were spectacular! Highly recommend.
