Bert's Bar & Brasserie

Newport

Jeremy dined on Fri, 28th Dec 2018 (9)

Fantastic night with old school friends. Had been here previously and convinced our group to do our annual gathering at Bert's which is a little far for some. Well worth the trip with beautiful food, great drinks and the perfect long table we had requested. Service was the perfect balance of relaxed and friendly professionalism.

Martha's Restaurant

Castlecrag

Jeremy dined on Sun, 13th May 2018 (8)

Great to return to Martha's for a lovely Mother's day dinner. All our meals were consistently good. My daughter's meal of sausages, potatoes and gravy was one of the best kids meals I've seen (or tasted). As usual, great venue with cute artwork.

Malabar @ Crows Nest

Crows Nest

Jeremy dined on Fri, 4th May 2018 (8)

Great meal on a cool night. Also good they could accommodate a big group.

Bert's Bar & Brasserie

Newport

Jeremy dined on Sat, 21st Apr 2018 (9)

What great space. This time the rump cap steak and seafood pasta were great. Last time the Sea Urchin pasta was fantastic. Also love the drinks offering (incl cocktails).

Public Dining Room

Mosman

Jeremy dined on Thu, 4th Jan 2018 (8)

Another enjoyable celebration by the water.

Fairmont at Occidental Hotel

Sydney CBD

Jeremy dined on Mon, 27th Nov 2017 (8)

Great restaurant and love the slightly old school vibe. Just slightly too expensive for a regular.

The Deck Sydney

Milsons Point

Jeremy dined on Sat, 26th Aug 2017 (5)

View is nice but the venue and fitout itself could improve. Felt a bit dark with the tinted windows and mixing the fun park entry with the bar/restaurant entry was not ideal. My aperol sprtiz was good and food (osso bucco and crab pasta) was okay. Has potential for a great restaurant.

Lee Ho Fook

Melbourne CBD

Jeremy dined on Fri, 4th Aug 2017 (9)

Another fantastic meal and I was happy to be able to bring my wife and daughter to this Melbourne restaurant with a some Cantonese influences. Ideally it would be nice if the restaurant was slightly more infant friendly (e.g. stock some high chairs).

The Rice Den

Crows Nest

Jeremy dined on Sun, 16th Jul 2017 (8)

Had a great meal with the family and service was friendly. As usual, love the fitout and drinks selection at this neighbourhood gen. Would be ideal if there was some flex with serving sizes (e.g. Ability to order 1.5 Peking serves to cover 9 people).

Muum Maam

Barangaroo

Jeremy dined on Tue, 30th May 2017 (8)

Nice lunch and one the few affordable places in Barangaroo

Public Dining Room

Mosman

Jeremy dined on Sat, 13th May 2017 (8)

Food and location great as usual. Minor issue was our waitress ordering the wrong fish dish and one guest having to wait whilst others ate their mains.

Pilu at Akuna Bay

Terrey Hills

Jeremy dined on Sun, 7th May 2017 (9)

What a stunning and peaceful location on a sunny day. Worth the drive and entry into the national park. Pilu's food is great and not unnecessarily complicated. Loved the oysters, pasta and pannacotta dessert. The focaccia was little dry and would probably prefer a good sourdough but that was the only minor miss. Service was a highlight being friendly, professional and child friendly.

Ester

Chippendale

Jeremy dined on Sun, 29th Jan 2017 (8)

Fantastic food which leans on the richer side of things and balanced with all things fermented and pickled. Staff is also very professional. For our family, it was a little bit of a warning sign that they don't have a high chair available for infants however the staff were welcoming to our daughter.

Malabar @ Crows Nest

Crows Nest

Jeremy dined on Tue, 3rd Jan 2017 (7)

A very enjoyable meal with the family.

LuMi Bar & Dining

Pyrmont

Jeremy dined on Fri, 23rd Dec 2016 (9)

Once again beautiful food which is not simply a reputation of our last meal. Enjoyed the progression from lighter seafood such the raw snapper to the indulgent tagliatelle and wagyu mains. Dessert was a piece of art but most importantly... delicious.

Public Dining Room

Mosman

Jeremy dined on Sat, 19th Nov 2016 (8)

A very enjoyable meal at Public Dining Room which is our preferred restaurant in Balmoral. Friendly service and delicious meals. Our mains were just slightly slow.

The Bathers' Pavilion

Mosman

Jeremy dined on Sat, 27th Aug 2016 (7)

Been long time between visits. Our family enjoyed a great meal, some champagne and friendly service at our early Father's Day celebration.

Via Alta

Willoughby

Jeremy dined on Sun, 14th Aug 2016 (8)

Another great meal at Via Alta. The flank steak and carbonara are still winners. The calamari batter was a little loose but the other entrees were perfect (prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella with beetroot). The recent fitout still looks fresh and bright.

Ripples at Chowder Bay

Mosman

Jeremy dined on Sat, 30th Jul 2016 (9)

Enjoyed yet another relaxing lunch by the water at one of our favourite restaurants.

Via Alta

Willoughby

Jeremy dined on Sun, 10th Jul 2016 (8)

Our group of 9 adults, 3 infants and 2 babies thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and new fitout at Via Alta. The staff were accommodating and we were seated near the new hanging wall garden. Loved the brighter colour scheme. The refreshed menu was great. My wife and I found the flank steak and marinara pasta were winners.

Hux Grill

Roseville

Jeremy dined on Sat, 11th Jun 2016 (8)

The Tomahawk steak had a beautiful charred finish, was tender and impressive in size. We managed to share it between two whilst the remaining two in our party enjoyed an eye fillet and osso bucco main. The sides were good value and well executed. We also enjoyed our bottle of wine and dessert. Fantastic unpretentious place for a steak on the North Shore. The restaurant fitout is functional but it is really all about the food here.

The Rice Den

Crows Nest

Jeremy dined on Fri, 10th Jun 2016 (8)

Love the fact that Rice Den is delivering delicious and modern Chinese (Cantonese) food in a funky and modern space with great drinks. And it is in St Leonards!

LuMi Bar & Dining

Pyrmont

Jeremy dined on Sat, 7th May 2016 (9)

Great location for lunch on the water but what was really special was the food. Stunning, modern and delicious. We had the 5 course set menu and every course was fantastic. My negroni cocktail with a twist was also pretty good.

Via Alta

Willoughby

Jeremy dined on Sat, 30th Apr 2016 (8)

Return visit on Dimmi rewards and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Ripples at Chowder Bay

Mosman

Jeremy dined on Thu, 24th Mar 2016 (9)

Consistently a favourite destination for a relaxing lunch. Oysters, to start followed by a delicious saffron seafood linguine... What a great way to spend my day off with my wife and daughter.

The Rice Den

Crows Nest

Jeremy dined on Sat, 27th Feb 2016 (8)

Great to be able to enjoy modern Chinese (Cantonese) cuisine in fantastic restaurant space with great drinks. Our table of six plus a baby was well looked after. With a well chosen location for our table and the waiter's ensuring my wife's allergy to prawns was accounted for.

Public Dining Room

Mosman

Jeremy dined on Sat, 23rd Jan 2016 (9)

Great place for a meal by the water

Ripples at Chowder Bay

Mosman

Jeremy dined on Sun, 27th Dec 2015 (8)

We enjoyed Ripples at Chowder Bay as always. Still a favorite of ours.

Busshari

Potts Point

Jeremy dined on Sat, 26th Sep 2015 (9)

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Busshari. Sitting at the sushi bar, the sea urchin nigiri, ikura nigiri, eel hand roll, veg tempura, Saiko-Yaki fish and spider roll were all fantastic. Well accompanied by my favorite beer, Yebishu.

Bowery Lane

Sydney CBD

Jeremy dined on Fri, 31st Jul 2015 (7)

Coffee is always good and so was our meal but my orrichiette was too salty.

Ripples at Chowder Bay

Mosman

Jeremy dined on Sat, 21st Mar 2015 (8)

Food is better than I remember and it's always been a great waterfront venue.

Esca Bimbadgen

Pokolbin

Jeremy dined on Sat, 10th May 2014 (8)

Great views of the winery and fantastic desserts.

Gastro Park

Potts Point

Jeremy dined on Fri, 18th Oct 2013 (8)

Thoroughly enjoyed the food which was innovative and interesting. The pumpkin "gnocchi" was especially fun. Also appreciated the fact that Gastro Park stocked a selection of cognac.

Cafe Lyon

Lindfield

Jeremy dined on Fri, 12th Jul 2013 (8)

We thoroughly enjoyed dining here on a Friday night. We'd describe it as a great neighborhood find but we're not really local. The entrees were delicious of pork belly and quail Ballantine. Main we're also good but the John Dory slightly salty. If anything the portions were too generous (eg entrees). Service was variable. One friendly, the other not so much but we enjoyed the experience regardless.
