The Butler Potts Point

the entrees and desserts were really nice but the mains seemed a bit average - the pork scotch was a bit dry and the quinoa salad wasnt anything amazing... ive been twice before and was slightly disappointed this time - just lacked any kind of wow factor

Cirrus Dining

Sian dined on Wed, 3rd Oct 2018 (7)

the portions were very small for the price. was a quiet ish evening and we were placed right next to two other couples where we could hear all of their conversation. felt very far away to talk to my partner over the table. Prawns were nice but the lemon butter sauce tasted like it could be in a dessert

Sian dined on Sun, 26th Aug 2018 (9)

the set menu is really worth it to get a great selection of the menu and items that go well together.

Maccoa Restaurant

Sian dined on Thu, 4th Jan 2018 (8)

great option to have byo available wed and thursday ($5 corkage) and the 2 course or 3 course options are also pretty good value at $40 and $50 respectively. nice quiet area with views of the estuary portions are rather large so dont over order or it might go to waste! wasnt a huge fan of the wild truffle mushrooms as a side, didnt taste any truffle and they didnt seem all that wild at all could have easily gotten away with an entree and dessert as entree sizes were very large the steak was well cooked and the emat delicious but slightly ruined by pouring (what seemed like packet) gravy all over it - would have been nicer to serve on the side and have the choice

Stanton & Co

Excellent food, should have done the banquet menu but definitely enjoyed all the food we got, $8 corkage, was awesome to be able to byo wine!

Lot. One Potts Point

Potts Point

Sian dined on Thu, 25th May 2017 (4)

mistakenly booked this thinking it was the espresso bar next door. The setting is nice but pretty expensive . 4 x Arancini balls for $16. I ordered a glass of sangiovese thinking the menu said it was $13, i was brought the glass of wine, and then ordered another of the same. It was only when we got the bill that i was advised that they "didnt do sangiovese by the glass" so i was given a different one for $23 a glass - the $13 i had thought it was , was the page number of all the Sangioveses... pretty poor to just assume i would be fine with another wine - the waitress should have come and said they didnt do it by the glass, and then i would have realised my mistake.

Poachers Pantry

Sian dined on Sun, 15th Jan 2017 (7)

I booked in for the 1130 'brunch' time, there was nothing in the booking to say that the brunch menu stopped at a certain time so when we arrived we were told that they were only serving 'board' until the lunch menu started at 12. If i had known this, i would have booked for 1030 or 11 it was disappointing not to be able to have brunch/breakfast as we had planned. The girls serving were very helpful and attentive however when we arrived, the 'host' pretty much ignored us even when we went inside to confirm our booking. One of the other waiters ended up taking over and explaining the menu to us and he was very helfpul

Jones & Co

Sian dined on Sat, 14th Jan 2017 (9)

The food was delicious and the servings were ample. The staff were attentive and prompt if asking for drinks etc. There was one member who was a a little bit pushy and felt like we were being rushed whenever she took an order, but overall they were very good. cocktails were delicoius and the wine selection could not be faulted. seating was spacious and atmosphere was alive

Public Dining Room

Sian dined on Sat, 24th Dec 2016 (9)

Beautiful setting, lovely views, great service and food was delicious. It is a bit pricier than other cafes but definitely still a lovely experience

Surry Hills

Fun atmosphere, good diner food

The Potting Shed

Sian dined on Mon, 3rd Oct 2016 (9)

Lovely setting, nice ambiance and decor, service was attentice without being too intrusive, was a little loud as there was a large group out the back, highly recommend booking as it gets busy during lunch time.

Riley St Garage

Sian dined on Sat, 10th Sep 2016 (9)

food came out at a nice pace, definitely a good amount for the set menu, had to get the attention of the wait staff a few times to take orders, would have been nice to have a dessert each rather than share from one glass between two

Mejico Pitt St CBD

Sydney CBD

Sian dined on Wed, 17th Feb 2016 (9)

great service, food can be a tad expensive but if you choose the larger dishes its good value

Cafe Paci

Sian dined on Thu, 17th Dec 2015 (10)

loved the way paci pushes the boundaries with flavour combinations, the serving seizes are decent for a degustation menu with a great range of flavours and textures. Favourite was the Photato dish

Vine Double Bay

Double Bay

Sian dined on Sat, 10th Oct 2015 (8)

while the large round table is lovely for a big group, it was a little too large for just 7 people.. perhaps min of 8-9 people for that table would be better. could not fault any of the dishes and the fact that they made special allowances for an allergy in our group was really impressive. drinks were always being topped up, the food came out at a really good pace - not too fast or too slow. the dessert plate was the highlight - amazing presentation and all of the items were made with perfection and tasted gorgeous

The Potting Shed

Sian dined on Sat, 29th Aug 2015 (6)

The atmosphere is great, however while waiting for a table, there appeared to be pletny of bar staff behind the bar and yet it took quite a long time to even be acknowledged at the bar. I asked for a menu as there were none along the bar and got told "ill get it in a minute" When we were seated, we had no menus on the table, so had to pinch some from a table next to us. When we were ready to order, we had to go and get someone to come and serve us as no one came and checked on us for a while. The service we did get was good - the guy was informative and friendly. The food was tasty however my lamb shank pie was not hot when I got it and the pork sliders were a bit dry and tasteless. Overall an OK experience. I've been here 3 times before and the service has been fine, but had heard from friends that they have also had bad service experiences.

Mejico Pitt St CBD

Sydney CBD

Sian dined on Wed, 18th Mar 2015 (9)

the chefs selection was a great choice, great value for money, there was too much food, we couldnt finish it - lamb tacos, guacamole and patatas bravas were the highlights

Clubhouse Rosebery

Sian dined on Wed, 4th Mar 2015 (9)

Love the share selection, lamb ribs and cauliflower salad are my favourites, every time. Seafood selection is great - would be nice to see seasonal changes to the menu for the regulars. Also can't wait for the hedges to grow above the balcony to block out the bus noises!

Emerson's Cafe and Restaurant

Sian dined on Sun, 22nd Jun 2014 (9)

We had a fantastic dinner on Sunday night with a $55 3 course meal, every element of every dish was cooked to perfection, all the flavours matched really well. The size of all the meals was more than generous, the staff were very knowledgeable about the food and the wine suggestions. The only comment was that the decor of the restaurant was a bit bare and concrete for a winters night, it would be nice to have felt a little cosier with a rug or curtains

Surry Hills

Sian dined on Wed, 19th Feb 2014 (6)

i think the 50% off deal impacted the quality of food that we received, i am glad we didnt have to pay double for the food as it was definitely not worth that price. service was great, wine was nice - the cheapest wine was $10 for a very small glass

Ripples at Sydney Wharf

Sian dined on Sun, 8th Sep 2013 (7)

share plates were not necessary as the entree sizes were large mains were great, very large portions and all cooked really well. seats a little uncomfortable service was a little strange - felt awkward and like they were constantly fussing over us, rather than doing their thing behind the scenes,
