Lively and fun atmosphere and a very friendly and thoughtful service (you brought us plates, cutting knife and even lent me your lighter for the byo cake, as well as resolving the “rocky table” issue!). Thanks for a great night out :)

Beautiful location and view of the beach, food was lovely (recommend the pancakes for breakfast!), service was overall efficient and friendly enough but could improve with more personableness and attentiveness to customers.

As a pescatarian, I’ve had many fish and prawn tacos that were tasty but their lobster taco was beautiful! Great crunchy texture and great flavour pairing with the fresh slaw. Highly recommend. Their tuna poké dish was lovely too, so much variety and colour on one plate. Would love the tuna to be sashimi style / cured but the way it was served (as seared) was nice too. Would definitely go back to try the rest of the dinner menu as well as brekky! Charming servers and happy to make small talk with you if you so desire.

Lovely ambience, friendly service, tasty and presentable food - only setback was the overpowering saltiness in one of our dishes - but overall a nice venue!

Been here several times, always enjoy the food and atmosphere. Slight downside towards the end - service felt a little rushed depending on who waited our table. The waiter who nodded his head in response to my "bill please" walked back and forth past my table several times without any kind of acknowledgement (a quick "One moment please" would have sufficed if he was so busy) so I was left just sitting there not knowing whether I should continue waiting for him, or whether I should just ask someone else for the bill - for a good 7mins until he finally came around so I could tap my credit card on the eftpos machine. I might as well have gotten up from my seat to pay if waiting for the bill meant I'm left wondering whether he'd bring it or actually remember to bring it because he acted so busily.

Mostly a pleasant experience with a colourful and vibrant decor... one criticism: the Kingfish ceviche was slightly disappointing - looked sloppy on the plate; unevenly cut portions of fish (so not "thinly sliced" as menu reads); the kingfish was completely overpowered by the "grapefruit, orange and habanero granita" flavour (most likely because there was just too much of it) so all we could taste was fruit with a chewy texture to it... when it comes to ceviche, i like to appreciate first and foremost, the fish, then whatever else that comes with it as an "accent" to the sensory experience!

Our food was delicious and quick! The wok fried hokkien noodles with XO sauce & the prawn dumplings were my favourite the first time, hence went back for more. Great to see consistency in flavour and presentation because I enjoyed them the second time again! Service was friendly and efficient. Enjoyed all of my meals except perhaps I would have enjoyed the dessert (a frangipani & cherry tart with coconut sorbet) more if there was another element/texture to 'lift' and tie in all the flavours on the plate. Although I struggled to find balance in flavour and texture in the tart, the side scoop of coconut sorbet was delightful! It had great depth of coconut flavour whilst being refreshingly sweet, and the firmness of sorbet was spot-on. ;)

Our vegetarian sliders (which came in threes on matcha, rice, and ramen burgers) were tiny which was a surprise but were very tasty all the same! On the side we had matcha fries and matcha Q (seasoned cucumbers) which were nice and salty, though I think the cucumbers could do with less salt next time. For dessert we shared the Matcha Waffle Sandwich which can only be described as "EPIC"! Not for the faint-hearted as it's purposely OTT with smoke coming out for visual entertainment. Flavour-wise, the combination of matcha, cream, and berries worked well. By the time I started on the deep fried snickers (which were used as 'pillars' for the waffle magnificence), there was hardly any room left in my dessert stomach. Would recommend this as a sharing plate for foodie adventurers alike. My only criticism would be the scoop of matcha ice cream which sat underneath the hot waffles, and inevitably melted very quickly which ended up leaking off the cake board and painting my end of the table 'green'. Whenever I have hot pancakes or hot waffles I love to scoop some of the cold ice cream on top but in this instance, there was no ice cream to 'scoop out of' as it had already turned into green liquid. Perhaps this could be prevented by scooping the ice cream into a ramekin-like server instead of directly onto the board. That aside, we found all of the food fun and enjoyable.

Their dumplings (ordered two kinds: prawn and scallop) were fantastic! I can easily claim they were my favourite Chinese-style seafood dumplings out of the hundreds I've ever eaten at a restaurant. The Hokkien noodles with XO sauce were delicious too, a little hot but couldn't stop myself from finishing them because they were that tasty! A very enjoyable experience in all. :)

deVita - Tastes of Napoli

Service - friendly enough, but could do with more attentiveness and enthusiasm Nobody asked "how was your meal, how was your experience" during or even after when I went up to the counter to pay the bill Food (a range of pizzas, salads, special of the day, pasta) - took over 20 mins for 1 pizza, 1 gnocchi, and 1 grilled fish to arrive. If there was going to be a wait, at least one of the waiters could have mentioned something as half the table had already started eating, leaving the other half empty-handed In terms of flavour and quality - the bread basket was very plain with no oil or salt on side; almost dry; the pizza base for the seafood pizza was very dry and tasted dull. Rather than tasting like a freshly wood fired pizza, it tasted more like a slightly burnt wrap with tiny shrimps scattered on a hastily-spread tomato paste and some rocket thrown on top for good measure. To be honest, presentation could improve to make it more appealing! Oh, and the pizza base wasn't hot at all. Just, lukewarm like it had been sitting on the pass for 5 mins to cool down or something. Overall, a pretty underwhelming experience. Had high expectations because it was our first visit, and had always wanted to try their 'authentic italian' considering they'd been around for some time. Usually would order dessert after, but couldn't be motivated so ended up moving elsewhere for dessert. I personally wouldn't recommend this to my close family & friends as I know a few other authentic italian restaurants that do an amazing job, but it may be suitable for large groups as they have a simple but nice interior dining space. For people who are keen on wine, maybe this will be a great place to try also!

The dessert name on the menu was slightly deceptive as what was brought to us was not a "banoffee pie" but a "banoffee brulee". This can be confusing for first-timers or customers who have picked it based on the use of specific terminology, i.e. "pie". What's stranger, is that when we received our bill, we noticed that "banoffee brulee" was printed out - and accurately so. It was definitely NOT a banoffee pie - which we had anticipated and is the only reason why we chose it in the first place. When we mentioned this confusion to the waiter, he smiled apologetically. Surely this is a simple issue that can be easily rectified? They got it right on the tax invoice, so they should have it the same on the menu for customers. That aside, the food was delicious and we will definitely go back to try more! The bartenders behind the bar seemed to make A LOT of "clinking" noise when handling glasses, which was quite annoying and unpleasant to the ears at times as it would disrupt our conversation, but overall, nice and casual dining experience.
