Shoppingtown Hotel

Doncaster

The service was fantastic, all the people there are very lovely. I was a massive fan of the open lamb souvalaki, was very fatty and was more like a roast lamb cut up in little pieces. Otherwise a nice meal for price paid.

Vamos

Melbourne CBD

My friend and I went to Vamos on the 50% deal. As many other places you can't get the $35 deal (one tapas from each section) on the deal. We had spinach empandas, potatoes, two tostadas. The food was delicious but very small for the price. Not sure how I would have felt if I had to pay full price... But the service was great, fast and efficient. Tapas came very quickly. Just a little pity about the atmosphere, we were put in the side section where no one was and it felt a bit empty. The front part looked better though.

Richmond Club Hotel

We went to dinner on a 50% deal. Got sat downstairs in the dark so moved up to Level 1. Our waitress was very helpful and efficient. It was Steak and Parma night but that was not included in the deal. I didn't think to ask if I could have got 50% off the menu steak. We had a whole bunch of entrees. Each one was nice. Probably wouldn't do that if they weren't 50% off though as it would have been quite expensive otherwise. They could do with a few healthy options on entree. I wouldn't hurry back there again for food but they staff are nice and it's refreshing going there when it's not jam packed! Drinks were nice and cold as you would hope!

Aviary Hotel

Abbotsford

My friend and I went on $12 burger night. I thought there might be a bigger list than the 4 on the menu, there wasn't. Its a choice of beef, chicken, fish or mushroom. They are all $12 to $14 anyway so not a big saving, you get a free house wine which was described as "not a sav blanc but similar" or one Ale beer chosen by the Aviary. I had the chicken burger, it was lovely but the coleslaw inside had CORIANDER!! My friend had beef and said it was delicious. We shared a bowl of chips which were pretty standard. Our waitress was lovely and the meal was fast. All in all I wouldn't hurry back there but I wouldn't say no to going back and trying the beef burger!

Thai Style

Richmond

I love going to Thai Style, the restaurant although very quite is comfortable. We had chicken satay sticks to start and a mixed entrée which was delicious. I cannot get enough of their satay sauce. Then we had the Pad Thai, one with chicken and one with prawn. Only in Thailand have a I eaten a better Pad Thai! Although you have to get up and ask when you want something, I don't mind this and the quality of the food is amazing and the value is outstanding. Thank you again Thai Style

The Bridge Hotel

Richmond

We had the 250g Dry Aged Cape Grim, mine was lovely but slightly over cooked, my friend's was full of fat but looked cooked perfectly. She left at least a third of the cut on her plate which was fat. If we hadn't of had the 50% off Dimmi deal we would have complained re the cut of meat but decided against it. The girls who served us were absolutely fantastic and the sticky date pudding for dessert was brilliant. We sat next to the fire and were cosy and comfortable and well looked after throughout our lunch.

Grace Darling

Collingwood

Food was great on a burger night, the Cheesburger was plenty but we got a side of onion rings were delicious! My burger meat was ever so slightly over cooked but my friends was perfect. Chips were delicious! Brioche was as tasty as ever and cheese melted perfectly! The only real negative was that after forgetting our drinks (that we ordered as soon as we sat down) they were finally bought over even after the people next to us who arrived after us got their drinks. Then we got our burgers, still waiting for onion rings, then the people next to us again orders well after us got their onion rings and burgers (we asked about ours), so once we finished our meal they finally came. But the staff were lovely, just not totally on their toes. And value for money was up there along with the atmosphere were highly regarded by us.

Steak sandwich meat was a bit crappy but the rest of the food was good value and yummy! Atmosphere is great and location is fantastic too.
