we had a terrific evening dining with friends, we ate variety not quantity, by the end of the evening we had quiet sufficient food, without participating in desert , if we had done so we would not doubtedly have enjoyed like we did last time when we did

Baia di Vino

Views of the bay were outstanding, the food still perfect, we had other patrons asking about the meals and they ordered what we did, they were not disappointed, the wines complimented the food delightfully, as you would expect from seasoned experienced restaurant operators, everything was lovely, our expectations were confirmed again, so we left in full spirit and really enjoyed the experience

Project Forty Nine

Collingwood

JOHN dined on Sat, 8th Apr 2017 (9)

we first heard of Project 49 whist in Beechworth, where they have a cafe, we booked and arrived a little early, which was ok, we were at that time unaware that there were two venues the cafe wine bar and next door the restaurant, we were seated and my pet hate is to be facing a wall (which is a big mistake a lot of cafes and restaurants make the food was limited in choice only 3 mains, of choice 4 starters (share) 4-5 entres the wine list was also very limited, we then was told by Rocco (proprietor) they had only been open 2 days and they had a lot of work to do building the menue and wine list, we enjoyed the experience and will certainly go back (i will not go to a cafe or restaurant to look at walls i go for the ambience not walls) the fit out requires character adding nicknaks etc to give it some meaning, the the sand blasted stark brick walls have been done over and over, the venue will be good in time once the menue is built on this is worth a visit again

Surprised! The atmosphere was sterile but interesting, very spacious, lacking clientele, food was the real surprise it was very good we had a range of entree dishes, we shared a main we could not even consider deserts (we were done) only one shiraz on the list Barossa Domain reasonably priced and surprisingly well rounded and full bodied drank real smooth
