My wife and I are not big eaters so we got one snack and one main to share which turned out to be more than enough for us. Service was fast and prompt, the food was delicious; highly recommend the jerk chicken poppers that were packed full of flavour.

Truffled mushroom donuts and bola de paella were quite nice, they should tone down on the aioli/ sauce on all the dishes though.

was fasting meat so we had vegetarian Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup. The taste was just as flavourful without any meat/ seafood. Lovely service as usual too.

Daddy Long Legs Bar

East Victoria Park

This place in general have a nice ambience and set up, staff were friendly too. My wife and I shared a waygu board, cheese burger and chips as well as a Matso mango beer between us for dinner. Unfortunately the toasts that came with the board were burnt on the edges, we had to cut off them off as they were inedible. Apart from that, the sweetness of the plum? sauce balances the saltiness of the cured Wagyu beef nicely. The cheese burger was our favourite on the night. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a rich, moist patty grilled to perfection with melted cheese on top. The chips were seasoned well but the thickness could be more consistent, we had a few that were too chunky for our liking. We enjoyed our overall experience here and hope they can extend their food menu in the future when we return.

The Karalee on Preston

CK dined on Mon, 25th Sep 2017 (7)

We arrived on time for our booking but as it was a public holiday it was packed with people and our table was not ready yet. We were happy to wait for our table but the service manager went the extra mile and offered both of us a drink each while we wait at the bar! Food was pretty good too with a diverse selection. I had the lamb shank which was cooked to perfection, meat falls off the bone and is complimented well with the creamy mash. My partner has the grilled salmon and she enjoy it very much too.

Wharf on the Point

Service was attentive. We ordered the Paella and Prawn Linguine, both were very flavorful. The paella were quite moist and had a risotto-esque texture. Downside was the nearest parking which was located outside the restaurant charges a flat rate of $8.50 after 6.30pm every night.

Viuna Cafe & Lounge

East Perth

CK dined on Tue, 15th Nov 2016 (9)

First time dining at this cafe/ lounge and was surprised to find that we are the only diners on a Tuesday evening. The manager introduced himself to us as Mike and was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. The lounge have a very exquisite hotel ambiance and we never dined in such a place before. We spent some time taking photos with the fancy furniture and decor. Mike was very enthusiastic in explaining the different cuisine they offer particularly Persian food. We ordered beef quesadillas and a Persian rice cake, Tachin. The food came promptly while we were busy taking photos and we enjoyed both of them. The quesadillas were crispy at the bottom with generous fillings of beef, cheese and vegetables. The tachin was unique and we never tasted anything like it, a mixture of chicken, rice, saffron and egg cooked together and topped with generous amounts of dried blueberries. The sourness of the berries balanced the sweetness of the rice cake. At first I couldn't see the chicken and asked Mike about it. He told us that the chicken is mixed together with the rice and egg but he was kind enough to have his chef prepare some more chicken on the side for us. Overall we enjoyed the meal and the wonderful hospitality. Mike is approachable and very friendly, the food was pretty good and the value even better! We will be back!
