Redoak Boutique Beer Cafe

Sydney CBD

It's always a pleasure to visit the Red Oak. Friendly and knowledgable service, easy going and efficient. There are lunch specials around $15, although mine was great (fish tacos), I did have to add an order of fries as it wouldn't have been enough without - so that defeated the idea of a lunch special. Tip: pay cash if you don't want to be charged card fees.

Casa Ristorante Italiano

Darling Harbour

I booked the Dimmi 'Lunch Special' but once at the restaurant, the waiter had no idea what I was talking about. They accepted to offer the lunch menu instead. The view over the harbour is incredible, the food good (but costly outside of the lunch prices). Ideal location for a catch-up or special occasion.

Black Bottle

Several options for seating: front terrace by the road, terrace out the back with smoking area, and of course inside. The atmosphere is pleasant, service discreet and efficient. We had a a lovely time and enjoyed our light food & drinks - if you are after a feast or a big meal, this is probably not the place for you.

Redoak Boutique Beer Cafe

Sydney CBD

Weekday lunch I didn't know this pub existed and we made up by coming three weeks in a row. So yes, I like it here. Friendly and efficient service who is very accommodating. Great pub atmosphere with various seating options inside and outside. Start with the Draft Beer Menu and enjoy a beer made locally - Redoak is an awarded brewery. If beer isn't your thing there are other options. Then look at the Food Menu and its range of pub food, salads, pizza, and vegetarian options. If still hungry, there's always the Dessert Menu. My only regret is that the windows don't open (I believe it's a legal matter).

Chat Thai Circular Quay

Sydney CBD

The décor is nice and appealing, the menu mouthwatering and so it takes a while to make a choice (although there aren't very many vegetarian options). We were waiting on a friend and the waitstaff kept coming to take our order. But when the friend arrived, the waitstaff stopped coming! (the irony) We waited waited and had to wave at two different people to finally place our orders. Food arrived reasonably fast. It was tasty, although mine had way too much meat and hardly any veggies - which could be fine for some people, just not me. The desserts & drinks look incredible, I'll have to come back for sweets and a better experience. Tip: this restaurant gets very busy around lunchtime weekdays, so plan ahead and book a table with Dimmi, just to be safe.

Coco Cubano Parramatta

Justine dined on Thu, 19th Oct 2017 (8)

Service was very efficient and attentive. Food arrived quickly and at great temperature. Nice authentic décor, good for people watching along the windows inside or outside. The tables were a little close to each other. I wish the music were more ambiance/background and had more of a Cuban feel.
