the staffs were nice and polite, we ordered a pizza and a seafood pasta, the price was quite high however we got the dimmi discount to try the place out. the pizza was average. the pasta was pretty good, there was lots of seafood but scallops were nowhere to be found (the menu states there are scallops in the dish)

Time Out Fed Square

Melbourne CBD

Jared dined on Tue, 28th Aug 2018 (6)

the place was quite crowded with tourists, which the restaurant was bit noisy if you are looking for somewhere quiet then this place is probably not for you. the food is pretty average, we ordered a mushroom pizza, there weren't many toppings on the pizza, we will not come back for the pizza again. we also had a pumpkin risotto to share, and it was bit coldish so they might not have cooked it fresh. one of the staffs was not polite, so overall I would not recommend this place.

Scallops were fresh and a nice combo with chorizos. Garlic prawns were full of flavours! Pork belly on top of crispy toasts were so yum! Lamb shoulder just melted in your mouth, really soft. Affogato and cheese cake were both delicious and a good way to finish off. Overall, the restaurant was great, the view was beautiful, a good escape from the city. However, I found their plates and glasses really dirty that had dust and even a spider...

Deep fried whole barramundi ($28.9) - so damn yum! Must try! The caramel and chilli sauce was a perfect match with the fish fillets. Hot & spicy prawn soup ($18.9) - not recommended, it was made way too spicy that ruined the flavour. Couldn’t finish the soup. Beef cheek curry ($29.9) - the curry itself was average, however the beef cheek was nicely cook.

Lamb pizza ($22) - not bad! But I prefer if the base is thinner and not a big fan of pesto on pizza. Steak sandwich ($23) - steak was cook perfectly and the fries were so crispy. Love it! Coffee were nice. Our brought laptops in to do some work, and sat there for the afternoon. There are free wifi and the environment is great. Friendly staffs too! Will be back.

Cafe de la Ville

South Yarra

Jared dined on Thu, 4th Jan 2018 (8)

My partner and I came here for brunch, we got a table in the flower shop surrounding by plants and flowers that we really enjoyed. We shared “Black angus burger” and “Benedict de la ville” that were both well presented and came in good portion. The beef patty in the burger is juicy and the fries are crispy, definitely one of the best in the area. We think that the pork belly in the eggs benedict is bit salty, but the sweetness of the apple sauce do neutralise that taste. The highlight of this café Is the service with no doubt, the staff are friendly and welcoming. Our burger was served fast but the eggs benedict came in slow which we don’t think it’s a big deal because we weren’t in rush but they kindly offered us “Raspberry macaron” and “lemon cupcake” to apologise. Both dessert were nice little sweets after the savoury, they were not too sweet yet refreshing. We would come back to try out more of their dishes for sure!

Criniti's Southbank
