The tasting dip platter was good however the rest of the dishes were disappointing. Octopus was a bit flavourless. Blue eye cod was so dry and had nil flavour on the plate. Beef Ragu pastizzi was also painfully dry, too heavy in cream and arrived at our table not hot enough. This place used to be much better than this. Won’t be returning.

Beautifully decorated, the staff really help maintain a welcome atmosphere and are attentive without being intrusive. The menu clearly shows gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian options. Our food came out quickly and was well presented, packed full of flavour and did not subsitute presentation over quality and quantity. It is quite pricey but considering it is in city centre and presented with plenty of space, you are getting what is expected for the cost. Food was delicious of which there is plenty of variety and has plenty of Greek wines which must be tasted.

My party and myself really enjoyed the food at 1821. It is a great place to go with a group of people as the menu is geared towards share plates. I would highly recommend 1821 and definitely come back again for either business or personal.

All food was consistenly good however service was extremely lacking. We ordered oysters, kingfish carpaccio, saganaki cheese + bread, calamari, blue eye cod, lamb shoulder special, kingfish plaki and 2 desserts. All seafood dishes were great. In addition to cocktails, we also added bottomless sparkling and still however our bottles were rarely refilled. Our server seemed annoyed to be there and quite unfriendly. We had to make multiple attempts to flag her down to order more food and drink, each time seemingly more agitating to her. After our mains we asked for the dessert menu and were left to deliberate for a few minutes. When she came back to take our order (2 filo, 2 pav) we were then informed that no pavs available. There were only 4 dessert options to choose from so surely as a courtesy when dessert menus were requested she should have mentioned that pavs were not available. We also mentioned that this reservation was to celebrate 2 birthdays and this seemed to be disregarded by the team so give this one a miss if you're expecting a special evening. Overall a good night but much room for improvement where service is concerned.

food was tasty, good service. disappointed with the wine - chose a bottle and, when it came to us, the year was wrong (younger than listed on the wine menu), this happened 4 times until we finally accepted all of the years are incorrect.

The food was excellent. It has been a very long time that I have gone to a restaurant and actually smelt the freshness of the ingredients when it is set down at the table. The wine selection was extensive and the Manager had very good product knowledge of the wines that were on the menu. However if you are seeking 'traditional Greek food' then I would best describe it as 'Greek cuisine with a twist'. The only thing I was not keen on was the combined Mens and Womens toilets though everything was sparkling clean. Lastly the service was excellent highly attentive without being intrusive which was was needed as it was a business lunch. I would highly recommend this establishment.
