We had the $99 shared for 2 people , gave us choices for entree and mains , plenty to eat and we had a variety of dishes to try. Battled to eat it all ,

The food was yummm but veeeery spicy!!! I think it will be good if they offer spice levels!! Tandoori chicken was a bit dry and goat was a bit fatty. Otherwise was yumm

Although the samosas could have been a bit lighter The food was really good. The service was a bit hit and miss, the G+T’s had next to no gin in them on the first round but were rectified without intervention for the second. We didn’t receive any water until one hour after we sat down. Overall I would recommend 2 fat Indians as the food is worth a visit but the service levels could be lifted. 8 out of 10.

Fat For A Reason 2 Fat Indians brings a refined Indian dining experience to Highgate’s bustling Beaufort Street. The striking red accents and elegant corner booths in this subdued yet elegant space set the scene for some of the best Indian food in town. 2 Fat Indian Owners proudly present traditional dairy-based dishes spiced with chilli saffron and nuts and complemented with roti and paratha flatbreads synonymous with northern Indian cuisine on their extensive menu. And extensive it is. There is plethora of dishes from which to choose: no less than 26 vegetarian, lentil and meat-based entrée dishes and some 28 on the main menu. Whatever your taste, you will find something on the menu to delight your sense. We simply can’t go past the northern Indian favourites of palak paneer (spinach curry with cottage cheese tempered with garlic and chilli), dal takda (black lentils cooked in tomato gravy and creamy home-churned butter) or the goat curry prepared with an exotic blend of garam masala and Indian herbs. Best dish: Chicken vindaloo.
