the Squid was tastefully prepared but quite tough. Most restaurants there days know not to over cook it.The chips that accompanied the fish were seriously the worst I have seen for a long time. They were limp, overcooked and drenched in fat. Any fish and chip shop would be out of business very quickly if they served chips like that.
The beautiful setting of 300 Acres and the good service was not backed up by the quality of the food. The beef cheeks were tasteless and the texture was not good and the accompanying broccalini was undercooked. The risotto was an unlikely combination of ingredients topped with deepfried therefore greasy asparagus in batter!! and the quantity ridiculously small. My experience of this restaurant which I have been to many times, has always been inconsistent and I will hesitate before choosing to go there again.
My husband and I enjoyed our Beef Cheeks. I realise it was Boxing Day so there was probably fewer staff than usual, but we still had to pay the 15% extra, the service was rather slow. One guest had leftovers fall onto his lap when his plate was removed and he complained that the order for his drink was forgotten. We like the venue and preferred the menu to the Odyssea's so choose to dine at 300 Acres. The price for each item was good.
Was more than disappointed with the quality of the food & service. They forgot to put our order in and when we enquired an hour later where was our food, as others that ordered after us had received their meals, we were offered garlic bread while we waited but they only gave us 4 pieces when there were 7 of us at the table! We were given complimentary dessert to try to make up for it. We won’t be returning.
Service was wonderful, staff were not your typical , I'm just here to collect a wage, they were professional and took pride in their role. Food was lovely, particularly the Guinness pie.
Extremely nice venue and remarkably comfortable in the 40 degree heat. Food was ver good and wait staff very accommodating. Usual breakfast fare done well.
I meet my 6 cousins here 2 or 3 times a year and we always love it. The staff are lovely and they ket us pay separately- very rare but much appreciated
Hi Vicki, thank you so much for your wonderful review :)
We waited over an hour for our meals and then one meal was forgotten . Spoilt the experience . The waitress was apologetic and offered a free drink . Not sure if we will go back .
Staff need training by management, service was terrible.
Dear Diner, my sincere apologies for the lack of service, please know this is certainly not the standard for our restaurant. With the busy season fast approaching we are training new staff so I'm terribly you experienced this when you dined with us.
Excellent atmosphere and service with great choice of food.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review :)
Good food & good environment :)
Dear Diner, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We truly appreciate it and hope to see you back at 300 Acres soon :)
Excellent for group lunch with friends
Hi Keith, thanks so much for your wonderful review, we hope to see you back again soon :)
Lovely views over the golfcourse, nice food and good service
Dear Diner, thank you so much for your review, we truly appreciate you taking the time and hope to see you back again soon :)
Great atmosphere and delicious food. Our setting was a bit noisy for my elderly father who couldn’t hear conversation because of the background noise. Would book a table on the verandah next time. Otherwise a really super family lunch. Good vegan options too which was a bonus.
I came with high expectations, unfortunately all our food was warm, my dish lacked flavour, and it took a reasonable amount of time to come out. I expected high quality, food was no better than pub food, if that
Great atmosphere, great service..for a table of 14! Very helpful and friendly staff. Great food..great play area for kids
Had a team lunch (12 people) arranged at 300 acres and keep hearing good feedback from my colleagues about the venue and the food. We left the venue overly satisfied will definitely return shortly!
Hi Mohammad, thanks so much for your wonderful feedback. We look forward to seeing you back again soon :)
We have visited on a number of occasions and introduced our son and his wife who have just moved to a City Beach address I think the dress standards could be improved for guests Barry D Gray
Hi Barry, thanks so much for your wonderful review and for introducing your son and daughter in law. We truly appreciate it and hope to see you all again soon. As you can understand being a golf course means players come off the course in golf attire.
Kitchen was awesome. Service was terrible
Dear Diner, I'm terribly sorry to hear this, I have advised management who will deal with this asap. Thanks so much for letting us know.
Servings are large and advice should be given.
Thanks so much for your feedback, I will pass this onto our restaurant managers :)
