Africola is a fabulous dining experience. The food is creative and delicious, and the service friendly and professional. It is my ‘go to’ restaurant in Adelaide. Be sure to try the Tea Sandwich.

Loved the vibe and food, particularly the tongue! Also the wine recommendations were on point!

Was a memorable night at Africola overlooking the kitchen action. Highly recommend.

The table size was too large for intimate conversation leading to a compound effect of loud voices especially inside However the bar seat arrangement looked a better proposition and will be my choice next visit Definitely returning!

Service was excellent. Food was brilliant. Complex flavours presented in a simple and effective way. Atmosphere seated outside was relaxed and enjoyable in the nice weather. There were heaters and blankets available if you needed them.

In atmosphere, loud and boisterous with an interesting menu. So different o your normal restaurant

We absolutely loved our experience at Africola! We had heard so much about it - and this can sometimes work against you - but it didn't disappoint! The atmosphere was great and the staff were terrific - helping us through the menu (with delicious unusual flavors!), to choose the right amount of dishes! No pushy over-ordering here, just friendly, knowledgeable service with amazing food that created a great day! Can't wait to go back!

About Africola

Who’s up for a “supa hepi time”? Africola brings serious funk to Adelaide’s dining scene. The tasty North African cuisine, crafted by head chef, Duncan Welgemoed, is sure to lure you in so that you can experience mini flavour explosions with every bite. Enjoy African specialties of meat and vegetable dishes as well as breads, dips and pickles. (All the dips come with injera, a surprisingly delicious fermented flatbread you have to try). The peri peri chicken is also a standout, especially due to the “Mpumalanga fire,” a chilli sauce crafted from the Welgemoed family secret recipe. Africola’s funky vibe is complemented by an extensive list of Australian and imported South African wines. If you’re after something other than wine, try one of their unique cocktails or Africola's very own draft beer. What are you waiting for? A Hepi hepi time is waiting for you. Best dish: peri peri chicken
