Really a super meal!
Great food. Excellent service. Good ambience. Menu in portugese only, but the waitress patiently explained every single dish and was happy to repeat when we needed a reminder. All the recommendations were straight on. Prices were very reasonable too. Great great great!!
Excellent experience in top class restaurant. Both food quality and service exceeded our expectations. Portuguese menu well explained by waitress and wine recommendation was superb. Not to be missed when in Lisbon
This was a great place to have a first dinner in Lisbon! Very small and cozy but elegant, like eating in someone's home. The food was all delicious, simple, fresh and well prepared. They are nicely presented as small plates and they come out as they are ready and meant to be shared. We tried many; our favorites were the mushrooms, tuna sandwich, and cod with potatoes and cabbage. Chocolate cake with avocado and strawberry sorbets also a standout. We found the prices very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. Our server was very patient and kind to explain the dishes in English and was very efficient and attentive. We felt well cared for. Although off the beaten track, do not miss a chance to eat here!
Small, busy restaurant with fantastic food and friendly welcoming staff. The tuna, beef & mushrooms were the highlights. Definitely book a table if you’re in Lisbon!
We had reservations for four on a Sunday night when a lot of restaurants are closed in Lisbon. Good thing, too, as we saw the staff turn away many prospective customers. We started with a lovely, fruity sangria and shared all of our plates from sardines to a cheese plate. It was warm in there on a warm night, but the experience was exhilarating. Highly recommended!
Forod was fresh, well prepared and authentic. We were very pleased and enjoyed the dinner.
Glad we spent our last night here because it would have ruined us for every other dining experience in Lisbon. It was sensational! Delicious, reasonably priced and incredibly satisfying. If you are in Lisbon for any amount of time, you owe it to your stomach to visit this gem. 10/10 would eat here again in a heartbeat.
What an amazing find this place was. Our host was extremely helpful with the menu. Food and service were exemplary. We have already booked for our last night we enjoyed it so much. Thank you.
This is not a fancy looking place, but don’t let that throw you off. Unique, but welcoming atmosphere, with excellent food. Try the cod and the azores cheese.
It’s a very small restaurant close to the train station. Not a lot of ambience but great service, and excellent food. The prices are extremely reasonable, in fact, we are going back again !
Tiny little space with a tiny kitchen pumping out sublime dishes to share! Every dish was fresh and tasty.... decor is great market eclectic and fun!!! Value for money? Absolutely!!!!!
Excellent food!
This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who had visited earlier this month, and it did not disappoint. It is very understated in its decor but wow the food is excellent and there is a nice relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it. Yum!!!!!
Un placer. Muy recomendable.
Truly excellent. The standard of the food and service are exceptional. Ok it doesn't look very much but who relies on that?!
Great small restaurant with good service & a wonderful server. We had the tuna sandwich, the sardines, & the mushrooms. All were very good, and it was plenty of food for us. I would probably have given a 4.5 rating but that was not available. It should. I rounded up because of the fairly quick service & mostly because I really liked our server.
The food was amazing. Still remember every single taste. Too yummy..My highlight from the trip to lisboa.
This small restaurant is a hidden gem!! Don’t miss it. Only 7 tables so a reservation is a must. The small plates are to be shared. Try the cod & chocolate cake for dessert! Everything is delicious and the service is friendly & while the menu is all in Portuguese, your server will explain everything in English.
This was a quiet comfortable restaurant with a wonderful welcoming server who explained the menu and offered excellent wine suggestions. Everything we ordered was excellent. Highly recommend.
The food was excellent! The service was friendly and inviting! The menu is in Portuguese’ but every dish was explained to us so that we were able to make great choices! Will definitely tell others about this restaurant so that they may enjoy it, as we did! We will definitely return next time in Lisbon!
Best meal i’ve had in my two visits to Lisbon. Until now, all had been disappointing. Creative and delicious meal. Excellent, personable service. Liked it so much, we’re going back again in three days.
The physical space is very small and spartan. However the service and food were very good. Chef Anthony is a master in his mini-kitchen. Joann provides excellent service and explains all the dishes on the menu. Make sure you save room for dessert! Overall a very pleasant experience and good value for the dollar.
Simple old furnished. Exzellent food, wine and service. Reserving a table is mandatory.
Even though we had to wait for our table, the waitress and chef were very accommodating and got us some wine and nachos while we waited. The food was absolutely delicious, particularly the mushrooms and the desserts. Service was great, would definitely recommend.
Great food and could have eaten easily the entire menu :-)
Excellent food for a fair price
Simply the best meal we've had in Portugal! Delicious! We devoured every crumb! Book in advance..many turned away at the door. So glad a friend recommended. Divine.
The best food in Lisbon!!! Honestly!
This restaurant was recommended highly to us from a friend. This is a really nice restaurant. Just 6 tables. You would not notice it from the street. Everything from design, layout is deliberately low key and simple. We had an excellent meal at reasonable price with very pleasant staff. It is hard to believe how they can produce such good quality and variety, each course fresh, well presented and on time and from such a small cooking area as well. Highly recommended. John, Ireland
Great!!!
Phenomenal food, service and great chef and staff
Just loved it ! Lovely food
Exceptional food for the price. Loved it and can’t recommend highly enough
Super resto, nous recommandons !!
Outstanding Location with excellent food cooked and served with passion in a wonderful atmosphere!
This is a very special place, the food is original and finely crafted. we loved everything we had including Tuna with on Sweet potato bread ( Maderia style) with wasabi mayonnaise and salad, cheese from the Azores and sardines with a light tomato and onion sauce on toasted bread! THE COTTAGE CHESSE CAKE WAS SUPERB ! Our server recommended wines to accompany each dish !
Amazing food served as sharing plates for 2 - we were recommended 3 plates between 2 people and then had a couple of desserts. The restaurant has only about 8 tables and is very popular so I would recommend to book in advance.
One of the best meals I've ever had. Pre-booking is essential.
this is a quaint restaurant with good food, fair prices, and excellent service. What more can one ask for? We had a great time here!
