Food has really deteriorated since last year - change of chef? Pork was dry and tasteless. The signature desserts that kept us coming - sweet potato brûlée - have gone.

Relaxed vibe in great location. Staff and quality of food and alcohol were excellent. Experimental modern Japanese - interesting textures and flavours. Not for those seeking the traditional light, clean and balanced flavours and textures .

Post-conference dinner from the MCEC, booked for 1 and given the choice of sushi bar side or desk - sushi bar spacious and comfortable, definitely the spot for solo dining. Service friendly but not over-bearing, quick and no issues. Sushi fresh and well-presented. Touch of curry mayonnaise brilliant in the tempura prawn roll (more like ebi but works even better). Beef in yakiniku salad smoky and melt-in-your mouth tender. Salad dressed well. Japanese whisky flight intriguing, although Sapporo on tap somehow lacked body. Left happy and full. Highly recommended.

The restaurant served us warm food while we just finished one cold dish and waiting for another 2. They served the wrong food from another table. Also, the food was underwhelming. The prawn tampura was disappointing. When asked for sake recommendation, the waitress just asked us to look at the Mena to decide. The steamed fish was overcooked and dry.

Couldn't fault our night out! Every dish was so tasty we had trouble deciding which was out favourite. Well worth the visit. Will definitely return.

Food was fantastic, well presented and suitable amount. Music wasn’t too loud so conversations could flow and it never got too loud. Would recommend and go again.

We ordered a variety of entrees and loved them all. Food was very well presented and delicious and service was excellent. However, the portion sizes were quite small.

Great service. Everything you order is explained to you when it arrives at the table. Small portions but very fresh fish selection, which is so important when you're eating raw fish. Could make the chairs a little more comfortable.

The majority of dishes are very tasty. We had one dish wasn’t satisfied but the staff rectified it as soon as we mentioned it. The overall experience was great. We’ll definitely go back again in future.

Nice dishes however very small servings. We ordered around 10 dishes with a few mains, and still wasn't that full. Service is also slightly on the slower side when it wasnt that busy. Staff are friendly and happy to assist

Food was good as usual. Love the modern/fusion take on japanese food. The vegetarian option was a little lacking.

The food was really good. I was particularly impressed with the wagyu yaki. The dish was well balanced and the beef was done perfectly. The hiramasa namerou was also notable. Another must have is the black sesame panna cotta. Will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu.

Nice looking dishes. Portions are quite small. I ordered 2 mains with side dishes for myself and was still hungry. Great location and friendly service. Overall happy with the food, but just need to order many dishes to satisfy
