I am more upset with the Fork. The café had no record of our booking made through the Fork. The café said they had had problems before where a customer would say they had made a booking through the Fork and the café knew nothing about it. How can I trust the Fork to pass on the booking?

In my research for date number 4, this place confused me. The menu turned out full-sized and delicious, but it was a bit different from TheFork’s version, different again from their own website. Don’t stress though, the oysters and the pork belly are available and delicious. Well, the pork is delicious, I’ll defer to the positive reviews from oyster aficionados on the slimy sea creatures. The staff were wonderful, able to move us outside for our Valentine’s day romance. Being on Bunda Street on a Friday night, you do get people walking by, others slowly doing laps in their hotted up cars. But it wasn’t annoying. I’d probably describe it as somewhere between interesting and a bit exciting - feeling a part of the community instead of being in a quiet corner, disconnected. And maybe there was a bit of ego in there too; in my mind I pictured lonely people driving around and around while I’m celebrating my recent dating success just a few metres away. Is that weird? That life is more exciting when there’s direct comparison? And yes, I sat on a bench seat. I love booths and bench seats more than normal chairs. I don’t know why. But after a few hours of slow ordering and even slower eating (apologies to the very patient staff), it did feel good to get up off that bench. We’d actually moved from padded booth seating inside so it was my own fault. Coffee was delicious, although there was some disagreement between my date and I whether sugar goes in coffee. I proved it is both possible and, for my coffee, inevitable. They have a good selection of drinks, good variety on the menu (from fancy to a simpler ‘bar menu’), and staff happy to recommend something if you overthink the choices and get confused. Also, low-pressure atmosphere. Very important! There are few things worse than a restaurant trying to rush you out the door. We hung out for hours and no-one seemed to mind.

Friendly, helpful and efficient staff enhanced our lunch experience, where each of our very tasty chosen meals were served promptly and the ONA coffees were delicious.

A great additional to the Civic area. Lovely, friendly professional staff. The staff always go out of their way to assist. Great for breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffees or snacks and drinks. A return patron who recognises good service and a warm friendly vibe. Summer or Winter.

The service was very slow and it wasnt particularly busy. It took nearly 2 hrs to receive our food after ordering, and there was only 2 of us. The food itself I couldn't fault.

The main food was ok, but the dessert was a real let down. We ordered the pavlova. Dried fruit instead of fresh made the dish too sweet. There was also not enough texture. Everything was sloppy and wet. Why not stick to the original? It wasn’t a pavlova.

Everything was great, the drinks were just so slow. Food was great and we did not actually receive a sides dish we ordered. Drinks took over 30 mins for wine, I also heard the table close to us complain about the delay in their drinks. Overall really good, They just need to improve on the drinks service a lot!!

They have a great little area slightly separate for groups but the service to this area was very poor. We had to request water for the table, it took ages for someone to take our coffee and food orders then we had to call someone over to order more coffees. We appeared to have been forgotten in that space but it was a lovely little area.

Waited for too long to be served, outdoor seating area doesn't have heater as other restaurants, we were cold and food got cold very soon as well. Beside these, food generally was good.
