View is absolutely amazing and the whole reason you go. The food is good as well. But the service is average, we had a 2 hour sitting and they took 25 mins before they poured our wine. To point we were rushed trying to get our desserts down as quick as possible.

The food was very good, the service very attentive, the atmosphere was however lacking and quite stale, and the overall feeling we left with was that there was an intent to take as much money from us as possible. We were offered the degustation with a 3 course meal at a set price of $ 255 per head, which is not cheap, yet we were charged an additional $ 20 for choosing the marrow as an entree, which I might add was very nice however very small, we were also charged an extra $ 16 P/H for choosing their special desert. ( Both go away from set price ) What was also annoying was that I was offered an additional glass of the red wine, (offered I didn't ask), to match the one that I had been served as part of the degustation, this I assumed was covered under the $ 110 P/H paid for the degustation however when the bill arrived I had been charged an additional $ 60. Over all bill for 2 people with a 3 course meal, 2 glasses of white wine with entrees, 3 glasses of red with mains and 2 glass of desert wine with desert was $ 606. All that to one side, the Sommelier was very friendly and attentive and the view was spectacular. I however would not return.

It was a special birthday lunch for my septuagenarian friend who had been in and out of hospitals after a devastating fall about 7 years ago and is now in a wheelchair. The hotel and restaurant staff provided caring and attentive service. Greta welcomed us warmly at Altitude Restaurant and gave us a fantastic window table, while the chef and the kitchen staff produced a 3-course meal that superbly complemented the magnificent views of the bridge, The Opera House and Sydney Harbour and beyond. My friend had a very memorable birthday in spite of the requested birthday greeting on a plate failing to materialise. Thanks to Johnny for pushing the wheelchair to Altitude and to Greta, for kindly doing the same, on the way down to reception.

This restaurant is not Fine dining and is extremely overpriced for the menu. Your paying for a view, not food. The menu can be found in any pub in the CBD and I was extremely disappointed. Deserts are limited but what is expected of a 5-star hotel. Forget this restaurant at $170 per person can get you an amazing meal at any of Sydney's top restaurants. We had lamb which was average quality. Service was 10/10 sadly the food is incredibly overpriced. I will never return.

As this was a Mother’s Day booking for brunch, we were looking forward to a lovely experience. After being asked as we were leaving by the restaurant manager how we enjoyed the experience we replied that it was very disappointing. W explained there was limited variety of food, the prawns were watery (possibly frozen). It took a couple of requests to replenish foods, which was very limited. The sweets were overly sweet and not enough variety for savoury items. The sweets were mainly too sweet, possibly directed to children, it would have been nice to have a better selection for adults. All up very disappointing. We have booked for a special hi Tea with our daughter and Granddaughter’s 18th birthday for later in the month and I am now going to cancel and go elsewhere as this was not a good experience. We would not recommend Altitude to friends after our disappointing experience. We looked forward as it was Mother’s Day but overall were extremely unhappy and left there saying we would never return. Really only thing going for it was the view, so overpriced for our bad experience.
