Excellent
We had the five course banquet. The food was excellent and way more than you could eat. They also had excellent vegan options which were thoughtful, satisfying and delicious.. Staff were also gracious when I knocked over a wine glass into one of our entrees and replaced the dish (and the glass of course). However staff need to lead their guests through the timing of dishes better. Our main was our down on the table at 8.05 and which time we were told our table was booked for 8.15 by other guests. We then couldn’t savour and enjoy our main dish as we felt unwelcome and rushed. We had already stood up to leave at 8.25 when our desserts arrived. We barely touched these as the other couple had already arrived! Even if we were slow in finishing our entrees, staff should really have taken the lead with pacing and kept placing dishes down, it’s difficult for guests to keep track of timing when they are enjoying food. Particularly with tapas style courses where you’re not sure where you’re up to in the menu. This timing issue soured the whole experience a bit.
Añada is a cosy neighbourhood restaurant with a chic atmosphere. The food is playful and perfectly considered, the wines are like a summer day in Valencia, the staff is more than friendly—they are friends. We were made to feel special the whole time we were there, and left satisfied, happy, and raving about the food. I absolutely recommend this restaurant.
I went with my daughter for the inked paella and was disappointed that they stopped serving this dish.
Always improving their beautiful menu! It always delivers.
Very warm and cosy atmosphere with attention to detail. Very friendly.
Fantastic experience, beautiful food and great service.
Great service wonderful tasty paella
Beautiful food and great service from all wait staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Thank you
Nice small wine tapas bar with friendly staff and great range of Spanish wines.
We really enjoy dining at Anada - we'll be back again!
Great staff who dealt with a difficult patron very well. Thank you for an enjoyable evening. I will be back ??
Amazing neighbourhood gem
A great night, great service, excellent food.
Food was great! Good place for a casual fun meal
Disappointing , food was average , price was high for the food
Cozy Tapas restaurant on Gertrude street, buzzing but not hectic, dishes are well presented and delicious, highly recommended.
Best meal I’ve had in a very long time - the wine was outstanding. I found it really noisy - but lots of restaurants are and need sound absorbing materials on the walls.
The food was good & wine service initially attentive & knowledgeable. But after dessert the service vanished. When it became obvious no coffee would be offered & the staff were more intent on clearing up, it took some effort to get their attention just to pay the bill.
Love this place. Food is always amazing
Superb in every way. Food was amazing as was the accompanying drinks served by a truly professional wait staff.

Taste Invasion
Anada is a one-of-a-kind restaurant in the heart of Fitzroy. Not only do they do exotic food from parts of the world we can’t get to right now, they’ve also created their own sensuous fusion of flavours. This restaurant is run by the husband and wife team, Jesse and Vanessa Gerner whose travels have filled them with a passion for Mediterranean food. They created Anada for an excuse to give us Spanish and Andalucía cuisine infused with the flavours of northern Africa. The result is a menu full of tapas and raciones, share foods that make eating out with friends an absolute treat. This friendly style of dining, in combination with the bustling intimate setting, make for a warm dinner experience. If it’s your first time, go for the tasting menu, which shows off the best of what these chefs have to offer, including the traditional gazpacho (a rich tomato-based vegetable soup) and fresh grilled seafood selections. Anada’s unpretentious yet elegant dinner experience will be one to remember.
Best dish: Confit Pork Belly with green asparagus with hazelnuts and queso manchego
