Somer Sivrioglu

In 2007, Somer opened his first restaurant, Efendy, in Sydney’s Balmain. In 2015, Somer co-authored his first cookbook, Anatolia: Adventures in Turkish Cooking, with David Dale.Somer opened his second restaurant, Anason, in Sydney’s Barangaroo harbourfront precinct in 2016. As a mark of his success, he is now one of the key judges on the new2018 MasterChef Turkey, a franchise of the international hit show.

I must commend on the service as we had to add an extra seat upon arriving at the restaurant and also a late dietary requirement and they were very accommodating. The food was delicious! I would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is wanting some yummy Turkish food.

Hi there, I normally don't comment on restaurants, however Anason was exceptionally good. Service was amazing Food really good The plus is during booking I said it was our birthday and I was pregnant. The restaurant organized a dessert with cancel and advise if it was suitable for pregnant woman. It was one of the best experiences I had and recommend this restaurant.

Once again an amazing experience, food, atmosphere and service absolutely amazing. The Feast is a fabulous way to eat your way through the menu! Be prepared for lots of amazing food. Cocktails are also delicious and so is the Turkish wine.

We were three people so got a few dishes to share. The food was delicious. My friends enjoyed their Turkish wines and I was happy with my Turkish tea. Complementary soup starter and they gave us extra baklava for dessert. Very friendly and attentive staff. I’ll definitely go back
