Somer Sivrioglu

In 2007, Somer opened his first restaurant, Efendy, in Sydney’s Balmain. In 2015, Somer co-authored his first cookbook, Anatolia: Adventures in Turkish Cooking, with David Dale.Somer opened his second restaurant, Anason, in Sydney’s Barangaroo harbourfront precinct in 2016. As a mark of his success, he is now one of the key judges on the new2018 MasterChef Turkey, a franchise of the international hit show.

Food description on menu is a little difficult but everything we had was delicious! Great views of the harbour. Excellent service, they saw me unwrapping birthday presents and organised a dessert!

Wonderful food, flavoursome and good sized portions for sharing amongst the table. The Vivid displays were a bonus! The service was outstanding, there was a member of our party who had a dietary requirement and they went out of their way to ensure she was catered for and enjoyed the beautiful flavours of the dishes intended by the chef. Thank you so much for a lovely dinner!

I have eaten at this restaurant a few times. The workers are friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is delicious. I tried the sardine sandwich this time and it was an amazing taste experience.

Grilled eggplant, tarama dip, and octopus was amazing! Although we missed out on baklava, as it was already sold out! Many other customers were asking for baklava, too. Please make more of them to go around for the night! :) We will be back!
