The food was perfectly cooked and well presented. Lovely al fresco dining atmosphere although the small space can make things feel rather crowded at this popular restaurant. Speaking of small our table for 2 couldn't accommodate all of our dishes and beverages as they were brought out increasing that sense of being crowded. While the service was efficient we didn't feel it was particularly personal or warm especially when we arrived and our maitre d' walked off to our table without indicating for us to follow. I had high expectations of this restaurant and staff given what I saw on SBS' The Chef's Line. All in all it was an alright experience with a price tag that was more reflective of the location rather than a wonderful meal.

Overall the food was good and the restaurant in a good location. They even gave us a free salad to accompany our meal which was nice of them. However, I don’t think it was great value for money. When we asked for the hummus dip, we didn’t realise that it didn’t come with bread and they never mentioned we had to pay for bread to go with the dips. So we were a bit surprised when the bill came out... my friend asked for lettuce instead of bread as she was gluten-free and she was charged $3 for 3 small pieces of lettuce! We also got one small piece of bread each which we were charged $3 each for, so there ended up being so much hummus left gone to waste!! Other places I’ve been to always give a generous size of bread and extra for free if needed...

Service was very good. Food was presented very well and was cooked beautifully. Wine list was a little limited. Was quite expensive for what essentially was a Turkish mezze. To be fair, I could have chosen a less expensive wine - which would have reduced the bill a little. Overall, the experience is one that I would recommend to others.

Taramasalata, Octopus, Eggplant, Bread (both types) and Camel Sausage. I wouldn't have the sausage again, but the rest was to die for!

We loved many things about this restaurant - the food was superb, the service attentive and Cockle Bay was spectacular in the Sydney sun. However, when the bill came we were a little surprised as we didn’t think we’d eaten $250 worth of food and drink betrothed two of us. This was our second time at this restaurant, and we felt the same last time, as well.
