Booked through TF on Google only for the restaurant not to be even open, doesnt take much for a venue to update their opening times online to avoid wasting peoples time.
My wife and I discovered Arabesque when promoted by The Fork. Since then we've had one returned visit; just the two of us an then two more with friends. We also have a booking for 6 people for early April to celebrate the birthdays of my wife and our two daughters. Love the food, love the atmosphere but one less star given because of something the restaurant cannot help - very noisy. BUT - we love it and will keep going back. Oh, and the prices, including the wines are very reasonable.
Very quiet midweek. Very enjoyable.
Food is always delicious. Great atmosphere.
I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends
Fabulous food. Great Service.
Food was delicious; the wine list was good but many of the wines have not been reordered and are therefore out of stock for now; service was good but a little slack in removing dirty dishes etc
Superb food. Always enjoy coming here and had waited too long to return. Classy atmosphere. Very professional staff.
Really felt the stress the second we walked in. The restaurant was full and the staff were clearly struggling. There appeared to be no person of authority in the restaurant and it showed. We were greeted and sat down at out table which was missing cutlery and all guests were without a napkin. Our table was right in the middle of the restaurant which I didn’t enjoy at all. I had requested the best table possible not the busiest. My entire dinner I was being knocked by the wait staff which was extremely annoying. Staff were nice enough and assisted us if we needed anything. I really enjoyed all the food but the kitchen is where my last complaint rests. The food bell. The staff were clearly doing their best and were getting the food off the pass as quickly as they could. The aggressive nature the food bell was being rung by the back of house staff was 1. Really annoying 2. Made me feel extremely uncomfortable and affected my dining experience. As I said food was good, not sure I would go back at this stage
Food was okay same as other similar restaurants. We had the banquet it was nice, but they brought out like 5 dishes within about ten minutes like they were in a hurry. They also had no record of our booking through the Fork even though I showed them my two email confirmations from the Fork, a bit embarrassing.
Great place which I've been going to for years, food is always consistently good and service is always top notch. Good hearty Mediterranean food. Can't go wrong with this place.
A great favourite of ours!
All in all a great experience...lovely food and presentation.
We had a really lovely night celebrating a birthday. The banquet was plentiful and tasty, service could not be faulted and the atmosphere lively.
Great food. Baklava and coffee never disappoints
Amazing selection of tapas and mains
2nd time we’ve been and this time we brought friends as we loved it so much the first time! It didn’t disappoint, great food and atmosphere, we’ll certainly be back again
Good food and a cozy family atmosphere
We really enjoyed ourselves here. The food was really delicious. The dessert that was on special was amazing. Will definitely go back!
We always love going to this restaurant. Good food, quick service, friendly people.

Combining a bar and restaurant with a distinct Middle Eastern feel, Arabesque in leafy Elsternwick offers contemporary tastes of Turkish culture through the menu and its sumptuous interior. Tactile and inviting, Arabesque features brightly coloured bolts of draped cloth on the ceiling, warm gold and red tones and romantic lighting aplenty. Reminiscent of a Sultan’s palace this is an intimate modern and stylish space where you can enjoy a selection of traditional starters, dips and appetisers/meze with a glass of wine, mains such as Shish lamb, a selection of salads like tabouleh and delectable desserts such as Turkish Delight and Baklava.
Best dish: three dips with Turkish bread & pickled vegetables
