The Avani pop up restaurants always deliver a new experience and these recent ones are no exception. Great fusion of Indian spices with local produce. Can't wait till the next pop ups. Setting is great for a good casual meal with friends.

Wonderful example of delicate & detailed local produce including native flavours. Each dish was a work of art with individual ingredients mastered & together a taste sensation. We had a wonderful meal - superb blend of Indian & native australian plant ingredients. Service was excellent -extremely efficient, friendly & very informative without being intrusive. Would definitely recommend a visit & will be happy to go again.
Just had a fabulous long lunch at Avani Winery in Red Hill. The service, ambience, food and wine were excellent. Make sure you have the wine tasting experience beforehand. A hidden gem.
We had a lovely lunch at Avani Wines courtesy of Biji Dining. The venue itself was warm and inviting and the menu promised wonderful things to come! The snacks were beautifully presented and tasted just as good (the puri was a hit at our table)! The slow-cooked lamb was an irresistible melt-in-your mouth experience. We brought our two dogs who were lavished with attention by the friendly and exceptional wait staff (thank you Sandy, Rohit and Alex) and the star of the show, head chef Harry who came out to have a chat with us when we finished. What an idyllic way to spend an afternoon!
Always a great experience with the Avani pop up lunches. This one didn’t disappoint wonderful fusion of Indian flavours and local ingredients. The current wine offerings are also of a consistently high standard. Will be going again before the window closes.
Had the Biji 4 course set menu of modern Indian inspired dishes. ($75 per sitter) The Lamb with curry myrtle, beetroot and roast onion was very good even if the lamb was a touch over cooked. Likewise the entrees. I especially liked the zucchini bharta with cinnamon basil. The highlight was the dessert of a ghvar apple granita, green almond and cinnamon myrtle. Had it with a glass of the local Sav Blanc. This was heavy in lime flavour and worked well with the dishes.
Really enjoyed the food and the management and staff were exceptional. Great to see in an area generally more focused on the tourist dollar. Wine recommendations did not disappoint. My only suggestion would be to make the food portions a little larger. It is definitely worth visiting and for me, re-visiting.
Amazing space, restaurant and space. The food is changing pretty regularly as the winery hosts different pop-up by budding up-and-coming chefs who are doing incredible creative dishes. Today the pop-up was by Biji Dining, Biji try to reveal to diners a lot of native plants from all over australia and utilize them in unique and fresh ways. The wines served come form the winery which you view out to the rows. Stunning wines, something for everybody with a clear nod to biodynamic wine production (letting the grapes do the talking, no chemicals, preservatives or pestecides) The wines are alive, whether it is something fresh and textural or something more powerful and hearty (Syrah) Avani has it all. Service is impeccable. 10/10
Avanti has a wonderful outlook, the service was excellent and staff very attentive , the food was delicious and beautifully presented, the Chardonnay is amazing . A beautiful lunch, we will definately be back ! Thank you so much for making our lunch so special .

The wine, food and ambience at Avani is amazing! I have visited many times and recently came down again with a group for the summer pop up - we were treated to a relaxing lunch with a beautiful vineyard view. We particularly loved the Skin Contact Pinot Gris and Rose de Saignee - and also took home a bottle of the biodynamic Syrah. The contemporary Indian menu with Australian native ingredients and local produce was also delicious (catering to our dietary requirements) with the asparagus and onion uttapam and strawberry gum and vanilla kulfi being the highlights. Will definitely be back again!
