Possibly one of the nicest lunches I've had in a long time. Party of 5 and we took advantage of the two course lunch for $25. Lovely choices, lovely food and excellent service. Wine was only $32 but there were also less expensive choices. Highly recommended!!

Finished our meal and was not bought a dessert menu. Waited 20 minuets watched other guests be served desserts who finished mains afted us yet we had not even seen a menu. Had to get up and ask for it. Dessert ended up bei8worth the wait.

The babble about Babbingtons The star restaurant at the Best Western Plus Apollo International Hotel Newcastle, Babbingtons Bar & Grill is not just your average hotel diner. Sitting on the side of Pacific Highway in Charlestown, it’s probably the last place you’d expect to find a fine-dining restaurant. But it’s well worth the stop. In fact, people come from far and wide just to sample Executive Chef Sam Beatty's seasonal menus. With over 16 years' experience in the hospitality industry this New Zealand born chef cooks with from the heart, stating that 'food doesn't need to be complicated, [it's] a process that begins with premium ingredients, sourcing the best of what is available locally and seasonally, and then focusing on flavour'. Be sure to sample Sam's signature dishes (marked in the menu with a chef's hat), and if you order two courses of his signature dishes you'll receive a complimentary glass of Wild Oats wine to enjoy with your main meal.
