Massimo Speroni

Massimo Speroni joined the Bacchus team direct from the 2 Michelin-starred restaurant San Domenico in Italy, working with owner-chef Valentino Marcattilii. After gaining experience in multiple Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide, Massimo travelled to Australia and worked for numerous leading Sydney Restaurants. After falling in love with SEQ during a restaurant opening, the offer to take the lead at one of Brisbane’s leading fine dining restaurants was exactly the position he was waiting for.

We went to Bacchus when they were offering the 50% off food menu. The quality of the food was amazing and they provided small palate cleansers in between the entree and the main which were delightful. Would definitely recommended the duck as a main or entree and the lobster main as well ! All amazing quality and service. Thank you

Four of us dined at Bacchus. The entrees and main meals were exceptional. Their signature entree is the Crocodile - you must try this! It was a wonderful way to start the meal. The mains that we tried we various, however, I must pay special tribute to the lobster and duck dishes that were both superbly presented - tasted amazing and to be honest were some of the best food that I have experienced in Australia and internationally. The restaurant does have attention to detail and service. The staff are amazing - you can ask any question about any dish and have the menu and it's description provided to you. Some novelties that we experienced was that they brought the steak cuts available to our table and showed them to us and explained them individually. The cheese and dessert wine trolley was another highlight that was brought to the table and presented in a thorough and professional fashion. We tried a variety of desserts. They were again best described as "works of art" when the arrived at the table. They were elegantly presented and all tasted superb. The restaurant is definitely raised the bar in fine dining in Brisbane. The prices on the menu are very reasonable for the food and service that you receive. Thanks to the staff and the chef team at Bacchus for what can be best described as a wonderful culinary journey!

Could have been a little more attentive. No salt or pepper was provided. Did not ask if I wanted a copy of my bill. Other than those things, it was excellent. Have already recommended Bacchus to a few people and I was only there last night.

The atmosphere and dining cannot be recommended highly enough. The service was also up to par except at the beginning when the staff could not find the booking! This brings a pall on the rest of the evening when one has to rummage through one's phone to find the booking. The reception for this restaurant should note all bookings comprehensively!
