This monochrome beauty can be found on Adelaide’s Hutt Street and is all sleek lines and modern designs. Bai Long Store, which translates to ‘White Dragon’, doesn’t narrow its offerings to one type of Asian cuisine – it provides contemporary fusion dishes from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia and China. That doesn’t mean it skips right to dinner, however, as the brunch options are not to be missed. Head over for breakfast with friends and sink your teeth into roti rolls, French toast and a decidedly delicious scrambled tofu dish. Lunch consists of tasty rice or noodle bowls while dinner serves up meaty delights such as pork belly, Wagyu beef gyoza and peking duck. It’s great for dates who have a hankering for Asian food on a Saturday night. Bai Long Store doesn’t skimp on the drinks either. It serves up wine, cocktails, coffee and tea with equal ceremony as its customers dine on long benches and window-hugging tables. In fact, the restaurant is divided into five sections – sip, journey, gift, kitchen and grocery – and allows customers to buy some of the ingredients they tasted on their very plates. Bai Long Store aims to be all about balance, staying true to the yin yang theme throughout. Once you’ve sat down and had a bite, you’ll see they did it just right.
