Without a doubt one of the best Mexican restaurant in Australia. Finally a Chef that understands that authentic Taco’s are made with corn tortillas and not flour tortillas like many other Mexican restaurants in Australia. The CalMex food was interesting, tasty and well presented. Great service and atmosphere. We’ll certainly be back! My wife was born in Texas as but came to Brisbane from Los Angeles 27 years ago. So I consider her and authority on good CalMex and TexMex. If you are looking for a taco, burrito & enchilada joint then this is not the restaurant for you. Well done to the Chef and team at Baja.

Delicious food, although spicy and could use a little correction on seasoning, the service staff were great but they had a couple of tables of regulars or staff that took their attention for most of the night. Stuffed bell pepper was amazing

From the moment we sat down we were being pushed out the door. Rushed to order, eat, pay and leave. The bill was given before meals and drinks were finished. At no point were we told we had a limited time slot allocated. Staff were rude. It wrecked the experience and wasn’t worth the price.

Very attentive staff, food is top notch. Some of the seasoning are untraditional but it works. Second time there and going back. Margarita classic a big hit.

interesting menu and nice size serves. it was busy and service was difficult to attract at certain times to order drinks or top up water. still or sparkling water offered on seating from refillable water bottle. On settlement of account, a charge of $4 per person was applied for sparkling water. We had order drinks per person (cocktail and beer).

Great fresh Mexican... good to see a fresh New Mexican restaurant serving real and traditional food rather than the stodgy usual suspects we have around Brisbane.

Great food in a really nice little space. It was a bit noisy but not to the point that we couldn’t have a conversation across the table. Only issue really was how hot it was! Could definitely do with some improved air conditioning! Cauliflower and mushroom tacos were amazing!

Baja has the potential to be a great upscale Mexican find in the Valley, but they’re not quite there. The restaurant has been beautifully appointed but was uncomfortably warm and loud when full. We had the guacamole (nice, but as you’d expect), the ceviche (fresh and light, a little too heavy on the fried shallot garnish) and the pork tacos (disappointing for the price; the flavour was excellent but they were swimming in oil). The bill came to $90 for two of us. Expensive for the experience.

The restaurant had a lovely vibe. We were greeted nicely and they were very accommodating even though we were quite late for our booking. The food was really tasty but a little pricey. The restaurant filled quickly and was quite noisy however we had a good time and it is certainly worth a visit.

Chicken wings were delicious but pretty pricey for the serve. Tostadas were tasty and full of flavour. Tried the pork, beef and fish tacos. The pork tacos were nice but had too much liquid dripping everywhere. The beef tacos were the best in flavour and taste. That beef filling would be very nice in a nacho type dish. Only real problem we struggled with was everything was pretty spicy which made it difficult for the younger kids.

Overall great restaurant and attentive staff. We enjoyed the entrees of octopus and boneless chicken. Tacos were good. Unfortunately, it was quite loud in the restaurant.

Great Mexican with a twist. Welcoming staff and nice atmosphere. A bit loud acoustics, so not great for a group of people wanting to conversation over dinner. Other than that, super place.
