A great little indian nestled in Ripponlea/Glen Eira road set of shops. Nice decor, good service. Food could be considered bland but you can ask for a bit more (I wanted a lot more) spice. Well worth the visit.
Bala Da Dhaba has quickly become a regular go-to, when I’m in the area. Sunita & her team have been fantastic every time we’ve been in to dine with them, & the food is consistently excellent. Personal faves are the Tandoori Lamb Chops, Goan Fish Curry, & Butter Chicken.
The staff was corteous, service was good. Didn't find the food to be amazing, but decent enough.
Totally wonderful experience. Thanks
We used to go to this restaurant many years ago when we lived on the 'other side'. The food was just as delicious as we remembered, the staff just as helpful and the overall experience just as good. If you like Indian food you won't be disappointed.
Pleasant evening with really lovely food. Had tandoori chicken for entree- succulent and tasty. Lamb with mushrooms and the butter chicken were also very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Clearly a popular and busy restaurant that does well. Great to find a good byo!! We'll return.
Staff were friendly and accommodating the wine list although small had exactly what i was after we tried the specials the vego option was pretty boring but the lamb was amazing i will def return
Good food & friendly service. Glad to have try this restaurant.
Amazing food! Reasonably priced and very delicious!
Went at the Bala da Dhaba, everything was great- service, food, atmosphere and prices. The staff was very nice and customer focused.
Great neighborhood gem with authentic Indian food. It is BYO wine however $4pp corkage is quite expensive I think. Service staff were very friendly and attentive.
Not much to look at from the street but inside is quite nice. Staff are attentive. They serve very nice food that is not too salty so get the real flavour (so many places pump in the salt to make it TASTE better). Will go again.
Really surprising restaurant. Wasn't sure what to expect from the outside, but inside was dim and mood setting. The food was very tasty and the quality was great.
One of the better Indian food I’ve had in Melbourne. The tandoori platter was fresh & curry really tasty. Will come back to the restaurant in the future.
Very friendly staff and delicious food! Butter chicken was excellent. Great selection of both meat and vegetarian dishes. The naan bread is particularly good
