This is a popular restaurant for a reason - food is lovely, staff are friendly and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. But it was too loud on the Saturday night we visited. We were seated below a very loud speaker on the balcony and there was a busker playing on the street immediately below that. Between that and the general hub of people, it was overwhelming. We couldn't hear each other and so were basically in and out. A shame because we'd been looking forward to it. Would happily recommend otherwise.

We got the salt n pepper school prawns the only mention of chilli is the mayo - whole meal had what looked like pickled chilli mostly. I wouldn’t of ordered it if it had chilli or asked it with out wasted $22

Excellent selection of well thought out meals - the duck fat chips were not up to their usual standard and way too many jammed onto plates

The pacific oysters were unbelievable, the crab tacos were a bit bland and lacked finesse, the steak minute a bit too cooked through. Service was generally good, a bit slow to notice a wave.

Absolutely loved THE BALCONY! $1.50 oysters, cold beers with a great selection, top wines, cosy seating, atmosphere casual and relaxing but best of all was the friendly and warm service. Really had a great time. 10 Stars!

Absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is fantastic, location exceptional, the service impeccable and the food to die for. The crab and lettuce entree and the oyters are a favourite.

its a great vibe. service is hit and miss. waitresses seem mostly disinterested and are hard to catch - we called them over several times to try and re order, didn't once get asked if we would like to order more drinks or any food. We found it a little too loud on the balcony for happy hour , maybe music could go down just a notch. very comfortable couches though - as locals we do enjoy it but we just wish you could find consistently good local staff. thank you

Great venue for us as first time visitors to Byron. Beer selection wasn't massive but adequate. Wine selection was ok. Food was very good, service a little slow but they were very busy and when we were served the staff were fantastic.

The food is good, atmosphere is great, location is fabulous. Most of the food are priced ok- not cheap but acceptable. Some of their sides are overpriced though- $11 for chips (not great too) and $11-14 for greens.
