BangPop has never disappointed. There's a variety of dishes of different sizes. We always share food between 4 to 6 people and we haven't had any bad dish. Cool cocktails and non-alcoholic cocktails are also crowd pleasers :)

Excellent service as always, the food although tad sweet, you can mention it to be less sweet and add more chilli if you want. All in all, excellent experience.

Ordered the gailan pork belly and red curry duck. Pork belly was good, duck.. they give you one whole thigh instead of pieces of duck, not used to it but still soft and yummy. Also ordered the mango sticky rice, IMO puree doesn't need to be there, and we got some hard bits of the sticky rice but still delicious. Service was excellent! Definitely will come back :)

Absolutely amazing food. I always order pad Thai and beef massaman at every thai restaurant I go to and BangPop had to be one of the tastiest I’ve had. The atmosphere is great also.

Barramundi was unexpectedly small but still nice, we've had this many times before and is a go to favourite. The beef and snake bean salad had a kick (chilli) but the prawn and scallop salad was mainly leaf with about 2 prawns and 2 scallops. Portions were small but we got the 50% offer so didn't feel bad ordering more.

Food was ok but not the best Thai in Melbourne. Pad Thai was soggy, pad see ew had limited meat options and didn’t have beef to choose from, papaya salad was too finely crated, grilled chicken salad was bland, green chicken curry was good. The thing we found most annoying was that the waiters kept coming over to clear our plates and most of the time took things away that we hadn’t finished.

The restaurant is in a great location and is situated right on the Yarra River in South Wharf. Choose an outside table as the ambience is better. The food is good however I remember it being better in the past so was a little disappointed. It lacked the flavours however was still good. Service was great and food was quick to come out. Would return.

A very nice and spacious restaurant in a fabulous location in South Wharf. The staff was friendly and the service was prompt and efficient. I am allergic to chilli and they were able to accommodate my allergy with good options on the menu which is wonderful. We had betel leaf, chicken ribs, pad Thai with prawns, crying tiger grilled beef salad ( all without chilli)! I absolutely love the beef salad - fresh, tasty and full of flavour. Can't wait to return!

The location by the river is wonderful but we asked several people to find it. We were a bit late to find it. The staff is very friendly. The food is good, especially the desert Mango sticker rice.

Lovely spot by the Yarra with the most extensive list of gluten free dishes on offer. They cater for coeliacs even. The service was excellent, the food looked amazing, but failed translate into taste and freshness. Will return again.

Ambience at the restaurant was nice. However, the food we had was just okay. Loved the mango sticky rice though! Didn't get to try the thai milk tea as they ran out! That's weird for a thai restaurant...
