We had party of 8 and shares entrees and mains. The pizza and calamari are excellent. The Italian deserts are also very good.

Our first time at Bar Angolo, although we have within 5 minutes walk we had received a bad review from a neighbour, we finally decided to try it and were very pleasantly surprised. Will definitely go back.

Friendly service, nice pizza. Unfortunately, it's a bit cold inside since it doesn't have any real walls.

About Bar Angolo

The Italian corner Angolo means ‘corner’ in Italian, so Bar Angolo certainly lives up to its name, sitting in between La Strada and La Piazza at Top Ryde Shopping Centre. This particular corner café has become known for crispy woodfire pizzas – the dough is stretched only by hand and left to rise for 24 hours, then expertly cooked on a stone base to give the exact amount of crunchiness and softness. Even though you’re technically in a shopping centre, you certainly forget the crowds of people and department stores as soon as you step into the rustic restaurant. With the range of imported Italian wines, the wafting smell of melted mozzarella and the sing-song accents of the staff, you’ll forget you’re in Sydney, not Rome! Aside from the delicious pastas, salads and pizzas, Bar Angolo also offers breakfast for early morning shoppers. Enjoy real Italian coffee, fluffy pancakes and traditional pastries and other homemade sweet treats. At Bar Angolo, it’s all about La Dolce Vita… and we wouldn’t want it any other way! Best dish: Calzone
