Wonderful restaurant with a marvellous terrace and a excellent and friendly service..

Had the tasting menu after our tour and it was an excellent blend of tastes with the appropriate port wine. Having LBV with the meat was particularly good.

Service was a bit sloppy, waited for a senior person before we could be seated when other staff members were free, took longer than would have liked to get our order taken, starter of foil gras was different presentation to the one we had two days earlier, main course of turbot was overpowered by the sea urchin especially when there were other ingredients such as orange blossom and chocolate, fish was also overcooked...

Our visit to Barao Fladgate turned out to be most memorable, food exceptional and service faultless. A definite must if you are in Porto, the wonderful combination of ingredients and creativity is magical

Lovely restaurant great service OK food. Why restaurants let children under the age of one year old into dinner after 8pm amazes me. Lovely view and occasion spoiled by children playing and shouting. This was a grown restaurant not a fanily eatery. Please take note.

Excellent food and service. Did the "Taylor's menu" which is the 3 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Was excellent and reasonably priced. Would go back.

The wine waiter was arrogant i order a bottle of champagne and it was served i the wine glass that was on the table, i as for champagne glass and he answer was do you need them then when i order a expensive bottle of wine he say are you sure i think he through i couldn't afford i have been going there for over 25 years and always been very happy with service but this was the last time i will be going there the rest of the staff was very nice it was nice to see one one the waiters that has been there for many years he very nice,but the new or his the wine waiter or the manager was rude so its a shame i always take family and friends there but you lost me as a customer

We had booked a table in the UK to follow a tour of the winery ,after tasting two ports in the tasting room we went to the restaurant the views over Porto were amazing from our table we could see across the river Porto all lit up a wonderful view, the restaurant staff were very professional, helpful with recommendations to the menu and explained the choices, we went for port menu with three ports a different one with each course, first class food first class staff first class venue , would recommend this any time . Lovely restaurant with excellent service and delicious food with great wines to accompany the dishes. Lovely views only downside was not many people dining and waiting 30 minutes fir a taxi

The servers are very kindly and enthusiastic. Fish is delicious but lamb has too poor smell to eat. Thus I can’t enjoy my main dish. However gluten free bread is very good. The one thing that is unfortunate is what I want is Roasted potato not fried ( I didn't want to eat the extra payment). However, kindness is the best.

Incredible food, nice atmosphere, yet appropriate price. We like to visit once a year. Recommended, eyes closed. The Royal Crab and Veal are a must!!!

This restaurant is part of Taylor’s wine cellars. We went on Christmas Day for dinner. The views over Cais de Gaia and Porto are amazing! We really enjoyed the vegetarian feijoada (bean stew) and the pasta with mushroom, as well as the aveludado of black chanterelles. The wine list is not extensive but interesting: we had a Soalheiro sparkling rosé wine (vinho verde) and finished with Port wine (LBV 2014 and Vintage 2008) as dessert. Service was friendly, but not as attentive as one would expect in such a high-end restaurant.

Very good attentive pleasant staff! The food in general was tasty and showed some expertise from kitchen. A little overpriced in places but all in a good experience.

What a lovely lunch! Food was fantastic and the setting is beautiful. Could not have been better. A very elegant room with large windows and beautiful views down to the river. And, of course, an excellent port selection!

The restaurant has the amazing view of downtown Porto, Ponte de Luis I and Castelo do Mosteiro . Spacious table setting, you can enjoy privately. The wines quality are good and foods are delicious with beautiful platings. The Pear, the silky moose desert should not be missed.

Barao Fladgate was outstanding from A-Z. The bread selection was fresh and delicious, especially the corn bread. We had the Taylor's priz fix menu which was excellent. The scallops were cooked to perfections and the sauce and accompaniments were wonderful as well. One of the really great things was the port wine pairings with each dish. They were all fanbulous. Highly recommend this great port house and restaurant.

What a fabulous experience with top-notch cuisine, wine pairings and service. Yes, it's more than twice the price of the meals at most restaurants in the Porto area, but if you are seeking a truly fine-dining experience, this is the place to go.

What an amazing experience, we tried the tasting menu , what a great choice. The food and wines that paired were all fantasric as was the service, attention to detail in particular as i have a gluten alergy. We both cannot praise the staff enough they made my birthday meal one of the highlights of our trip to Porto.

Well appointed restaurant with a river and Porto view, unfortunately we had the window table by the door and didn’t have much of a view due to location, rain and a crane for construction.

The atmosphere and service were impeccable! The view of the Douro River is beautiful and the room is unique. The food was good and very reasonably priced. The wine and port offerings are also incredibly and well priced.

Love to have a menu served with Tailors port to each dish. But it was excactly the same menu they served last year. Hope to see a new menu served with port next time we visit the restaurant with the lovely view.

The food and service was the very best.The waiting staff where very friendly and helpful. The food was cooked to perfection,very original too .also lots of port to sample with your meal.
