The chef does an amazing job of combining flavours using quality ingredients and fresh salads. The restaurant is run by the same hard working team of Salt Pepper Nutmeg and it is a great space for small birthday functions or a group of friends within a casual atmosphere. Highly recommend this restaurant

Lovely homely setting for dinner and the music wasn’t too loud either. So we were able to hear each other speak and had a wonderful conversation over a hearty meal. This atmosphere is a rarity these days. Thank you.

We were the only table of people in the entire restaurant from 7-8pm on a Thursday night which felt very strange. Odd menu and over priced for the quality. Nice staff but struggled to take a basic order.

The restaurant has a quirky ambiance which I enjoyed. It has good food and generous portions. I wouldn’t be opposed to visiting this place again if someone else wants to. Whilst there’s nothing wrong with the food or service, it wasnt outstanding and didn’t tickle my taste buds and leave me craving these dishes again.

Relaxation at its finest! Basil & Bedlam continues the democratic Dining ethos that was created at Salt Pepper Nutmeg: the prices, together with the simple, un-intimidating décor, draw an eclectic clientele and the atmosphere is all the better for it. Marion and Partner Chef Paul have always maintained the 'restaurant next door' feel, where food is fresh and tasty. Paul and Marion draw on their extensive experience and travels around the Globe to deliver unique flavours and at Basil&Bedlam the menu is influenced by the Grill and Smoker on the premises. Big dish: Haloumi and mushroom burger.
