Italian dining at its best Basiloco is the epitome of chic, Modern-Italian dining with original recipes developed over the past few years by owner, George Loupos. The decor features a striking tile mosaic, contemporary grey and chrome dining room all lit by a warmly glowing wood fired oven, which turns out delicious thin-based gourmet pizzas. This restaurant is family-friendly and the dishes are very reasonably priced for the quality and upmarket location. On the menu you'll find homemade lasagne, cannelloni, agnolotti, gnocchi, tortellini and six traditional sauces that you can mix and match, as well as seafood, avocado, pumpkin and spinach based risotto recipes. Veal parmigiana or al vino bianco (pan-fried veal medallions, mushrooms, cream, fresh parsley and white wine with garlic) and seafood crepes with white wine and cream stand out, however, it's the focaccias and pizzas which are Loupos' specialty. For a meal that is hearty, homely and satisfying, you can’t go past Basiloco. Best Dish: any of their wood fired pizzas.
