Smart, efficient but welcoming. Good location. Menu comprehensive as was wine list. Priced as you would expect for this quality. Service knowledgeable not intrusive. Food beautifully prepared and presented. Quality ingredients, great taste. Great experience
The calamari was absolutely melt in your mouth & the scotch filet was super tender. The accompaniments to the main course were tasty but the serving size was extremely small. Whilst the service was very attentive, the waiter’s demeanor was a little off putting. Over all though a very enjoyable experience.
Friendly and attentive staff. Great food and lovely wines. First tried Becco many years ago was not disappointed then no change now. Will definitely go again.
Went to Becco's for my partner's birthday celebration. We hadn't been for many years. The vibe and service was still great and the food was absolutely wonderful - still thinking about how how delicious it was. We had a special night from the moment we had cocktails at the bar to saying our goodbyes to the friendly ever so professional staff. Looking forward to a repeat.
A very authentic polished Italian bistro that continues to deliver exemplary dishes run by a professional team. Great local produce, excellent wine list and delightful ambience, a must when dining in Melbourne.
A warm welcome followed by snappy banter and an extremely well informed waiter. The beautiful dishes arrived at just the right times and the accompanying wine recommendation was an excellent match (not to mention at the lower end of the price scale). Customer first at Becco.
A great place for a good Italian meal. Service was excellent, as was the food.
The waitress was attentive, but was very hard to understand as she mumbled and spoke very softly. Even after being asked to repeat what was said. The food was average, at best - with fairly bland crumbed veal and overcooked seafood linguine. This was far below our usual Becco experience, and the restaurant was so quiet, there was no obvious reason for the drop in quality of the food. That said, the setting is beautifully understated, and the waiting staff attentive and friendly.
Fantastic Restaurant - my favourite in a very crowded Melbourne market!
The tiramisu was the best I have had in a very long time.
Fabulous service and high quality as always
A Melbourne treasure.
Perfect restaurant to go for a pre theatre dinner. Only regret is that we couldn’t linger longer and try more dishes. Staff were excellent!
Good food, a little on the expensive side 2 errors on the bill only one of which he staff picked up
Always reliable - excellent Schnitzel always!
Excellent food & service.
Excellent and always reliable

Restaurant was full, service was still excellent, all enjoyed their food, specials very good.
Food and service are superb
11-25 Crossley Street, 3000, Melbourne, Australia
Food from Italy
Longevity of a restaurant is testament to a number of things - quality and flavour of the food, environment and service. Becco, located in Crossley Street in the city has been around since 1996 proving that it is capable of serving sturdy, classic Italian food, year after year.
The decor is minimal, but it works. Sit at the bar and sip away on a Becco Macchiato, the restaurant’s signature cocktail while nibbling on yummy snacks from the short bar menu. For something more substantial get cosy in the cosseted booths in the dining room where there is a more plentiful menu which focuses on food from Italy - the country - not a specific region. It’s all good Italian food.
Best dish: Spaghettini, Vongole, Garlic, White Wine, EVO, Chili.
