One of my favourite places to go to, great food and fantastic beer. I’m happy I was able to go for my birthday dinner this year during Covid, things were kept up to the current regulations during this pandemic. Very happy!

To be completely honest, I was very disappointed with booking arrangement I had made with the Belgium Beer Cafe on the 26th July; for a number of reasons. I had arrived on time, 19:30pm, with my group of 11 people as I had arranged days prior, where had to wait 20 minutes before we were seated at our table, as there were "casual walk-ins sitting at our booked table.". When we were finally seated at our table (20 minutes late), we waited literally over an hour for our meals to be brought after they were placed by the waitress (who was very friendly in all fairness) . However, some of those meal orders were simply orders of French fries....? The convenience of booking a table I would've assumed was to ensure and make sure the seating arrangements were available on time for when the booking was made. That's quite literally the point of making a booking, instead of waiting 20 minutes for a booked table to be cleared. To be completely honest, I was really disappointing as I had higher expectations of this place from being there previously. An absolute let down for a venue with such a high reputation, in such a central Adelaide location.

Fantastic atmosphere, beautiful food, friendly staff. My only disappointment was how long we stood to wait for our table but it was understandable being how busy it was. Thankyou ????

The waitress who welcomed us was amazing, she was so busy but made everyone feel welcome. Sadly however, there was no social distancing and the venue was overcrowded making us feel very uncomfortable.

Bit disappointed with the service this time, it started when we were charged $65 for 2 entrees, 1 beer and 2 moscatos! when we ordered mains they had to go to the storeroom to get one of the drinks ordered and never came back, we had to go back and ask for it. Mains took a while to come out and when they did all but one were cold. Having said this the place was jumping and the atmosphere was great, live music, competitions etc.

We were seated in the restaurant section which was fine, however being able to see food ready and sitting on the counter, with only 1 of 4 heat lamps working was disappointing, particularly when one dish sat for at least 10 minutes, which then came to our table......this then continued for other tables and food was piling up on the counter, most not under a heat lamp. The food was okay, but I'd rather have it served as soon as ready, rather then wait for the other meals for the table......particularly when there is only 2 of us....

We have eaten at the Belgian numerous times as we love the atmosphere and setting. The food was really disappointing, the fish was heavily battered and the batter looked green! The chicken in my burger was also very crusty and over cooked.

The meal was average and disappointing. The pomme frite (shoestring chips) which was a side dish to most of the menu items was in fact just regular chips - they were soggy and stale. Ribs were delicious, Fish was nicely cooked but lacked salt in the batter, Nachos w/ pulled pork had roast pork instead which was difficult to each with a bowl of nachos. If there were supplier issues then I’m not sure why they didn’t reprint the paper menus or let us know when we arrived. Good for drinks but not food.

My husband and I love the Belgian Beer cafe for their mussels and the beer selection is incredible a must for even those that don't normally drink beer. The service is relaxed and friendly but still professional and attentive. A warm and inviting atmosphere rounds off the evening as a five star experience.

It was great to get back to 'The Belg' and we were not disappointed. We settled on the small plates to share, the pommes frittes as good as always but my highlight was the onion rings with the smoky balsamic bbq dipping sauce. Staff were attentive and friendly. We're booking again for next week.

Fantastic food but the wait for it was far too long even though it was rather busy. The staff were lovely as were the drinks. Would definitely recommend, but not if you're in a hurry to eat.

Friendly welcome on arrival. Very good with my 6yo daughter. Prompt to take orders. Both steaks were cooked as requested. I would like to see a little salad with the kids meals. but I say this everywhere I go. Just a couple of cucumber and carrot sticks.

Decent sized meals for a reasonable price. Big beer selection , but best if you save up if you want more than a couple. Service was prompt and no mistakes made.
