Fabulous
The food at the Belgian Beer Cafe was absolutely divine!!! I ordered the Crispy Skin Chicken Breast Supreme and it was one of the best meals I've had for a long time, it just melted in my mouth! My husband ordered the Beef Burger and that was very nice too, just the bun was slightly too small for the size of the beef patty. It was very busy being a Saturday night plus there was the Fringe Festival going on as well but the service was very good and pretty fast so we were happy overall.
Great place to have your meal before going to a show or just catching up with friends. Their Frites are so yummy!
Had a very enjoyable meal at the Belgian Bier Cafe with my sister today. Service was great - Emma and Laura were both very helpful friendly and polite. The croquettes were delicious! Look forward to my next visit there!
Good, prompt service. Decent serving size. Would return and recommend.
Friendly and efficient service. Mussels and frites were excellent!
Great service, very friendly staff. Had the Mussels and they were delicious. The only issue was how warm it was inside. It was a humid day but not sure just the fans were helping with the heat. Otherwise everything else was great.
They got the side of my main and was corrected. And then I discovered my main (a steak) was badly burnt on one side (hidden, faced down) and when I tried to get the staff’s attention, no one came even though they were serving the table next to us. Eventually someone came because my husband left the table asking for assistance. When the staff arrived, she said ‘what’s the problem here then?’ It was very rude after numerous attempts of trying to get her attention. She was polishing or wrapping cultery facing the dinning area. We returned the main and did not ask for a replacement. It was a disappointing night out with average service and a burnt steak ($34) but they did not charge us for the steak.
It wasn’t its usual self in that there must have been a fair few new staff and it just didn’t flow as it usually does
Delicious mussels and frites and great atmosphere
We stopped in here on a family visit to town. Staff were excellent. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was ok. Kids meals are really big so 2 kids could almost share one meal. Food came out quickly and was hot. Chips were really good. steak sandwich was average, but nothing wrong with it. Schnitzel was a bit overcooked. Maybe it was deep fried. But again, was ok.
food was good and arrived promptly. Not too noisy and service was good and efficient. Will return again for sure. Good choice of alcohol beverages.
First time coming service was above and beyond staff were so friendly always smiling made me and friend feel so comfortable I ordered the veal schitzel which was excellent and was a very nice and juicy as well Weldone guys keep it up Happy new year
Good pub food...olde world atmosphere.
We booked a table for two. The food came out relatively quickly. However the beer was very slow to be served and we needed to remind staff that we were waiting for them. Also we were not asked if we would like dessert. Wait staff were not easy to catch to order more food or drinks. When we were able to ask wait staff if we could order dessert we were told the kitchen had closed 10 minutes earlier (at 8:30). Poor communication from the wait staff and too early closing of the kitchen.
The place was very very hot and noisy. Not much variety on the menu. The pork tasted like a very poor substitute. Wouldn’t go again for a meal. Having a drink there would be fine.
Lovely restaurant and bar. Emma was really helpful and friendly taking our order and the food was nice, good sized portions. Will be back again in the near future!
First time for us here and it didn't dissapiont. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Meals were big and delicious and drinks refreshing. All with a good price tag. We were looked after really well. Definatly one to go back to
Top marks for the tapas style food.,staff super friendly and accommodating. Will be back for sure.
The staff are great here. Friendly welcome and served quickly. We'd booked in advance so were a little disappointed that we were put in a corner on top of another family dining next to us. The restaurant wasn't busy. The food was very nice. I had the veal schnitzel with chips and roasted tomatoes. Large serve. My husband had the 250g steak served with chips. A little disappointed that there was no side salad for the price tag of $34. We moved outside with our drinks after we'd finished eating and it was very pleasant.
We had a really enjoyable meal and the service was fantastic! Couldn’t fault anything at all and left with full bellies and well watered
