Bella Décor, Bella Cuisine Bella Blue Cafe has transformed the iconic north shore landmark of Belaroma Café into a modern family-friendly eatery just a stones-throw from Waverton Station. This Lindfield favourite is all grown up, causing concern among the Belaroma faithful that securing a front curb car bay might just become a little harder once word gets out about this fresh-faced café. Chef Carl knows his stuff and is seriously good at what he does, having worked at some of the top restaurants in the world, competed in international culinary competitions and taught nutritional science in Hong Kong. Some sophisticated new menu entries sit comfortably alongside time-honoured favourites such as beef goulash and salt and pepper beer-battered calamari. Other palate pleasers include pappardelle with wagyu meatballs, and grilled lemon and thyme spatchcock served with roasted chat and sweet potato and winter vegetables. Even the kiddies are catered for with soft booth seating and plenty of child friendly meals. Best dish: Slow roasted duck with honey and cumin infused sweet potato, wok fried Asian greens and a sweet plum and mango sauce.
