We came for dinner to celebrate my sister's birthday and unfortunately it was ruined by the disappointing night that we had. First, we were sat right opposite the bathroom which wasn't pleasant at all. Next, the wait for our meals was inexcusable. We waited roughly 40 or so minutes for our entrees which were the bread and calamari dishes, then at least 1 and a half hours for our main courses! I had booked dinner for 7.30pm and paid for parking til 10pm, thinking that we were to surely leave by then. Our mains were received at 9.30pm, which were incredibly disappointing; mushy tasting pasta, nothing at all appealing about them. I had the black squid ink pasta in which I recalled not being able to taste properly the crab in the dish. My friend had the gnocchi, which was appalling, again mushy and nothing appealing in terms of taste. Thankfully, the drinks and entrees were of satisfactory standard. As we had to rush eating our mains due to having to get back to the car, we were unable to eat the birthday cake in which we brought. Indeed, we won't be coming again and the reason we were told of the massive delays (only after I had questioned where our food was) was due to the kitchen being 1 person down. Should that be the case, the restaurant should of thought of a backup plan to ensure their patrons will still have a pleasurable dining experience.

Food-wise, everything was great until the mains came out. Appetisers are divine, as is the wine (although one of our choices wasn’t available). In terms of mains - the Snapper was inadequately descaled and deboned, portions of the flesh were metallic and astringent tasting likely due to poor gutting when handling the fish. The gnocchi is very heavy on the potato taste, but the sauce was decent. Calamari and pasta were adequate. Service was not great - the waitress asked us if we’d like bread once the entrees were served rather than when we were ordering. We also had to wait nearly 45 mins between the entrees and mains.

This is a food trip to Italy you will want to do again: superb flavors; elegant presentation; and food crafted to perfection. From the homemade bread and lush burrata, to the most delectably tender octopus ever eaten, this is “Bella” with a capital B. Full stop. Except that you will want more.

The food (entree, mains and desserts) were absolutely divine, yummy, full of flavour and love the open concept kitchen. The entrees were splendid-burrata and octopus. Mains the stuffed calamari and squid ink pasta. Dessert was the pistachio tiramisu and fondant. Only wish the fondant was bigger. Will be back to try more dishes.

Food was excellent, however it takes one hour just to get the first entree which is a bit disappointing. The squid ink pasta is exceptional, will come back again.

Our entrees were superb- all 3. Cocktails were enjoyed by all. Service was friendly and helpful but due to lack of staffing, we did get delays between courses. Our mains all arrived together but the feature king fish just needed more flavour. My spaghetti was delicious but others found it too salty. We were given desserts to compensate for delays and they were spectacular. I appreciate that running a restaurant is difficult. We had pre booked but maybe there was a big walk in % that evening. This is a new venue and I feel we were just unfortunate with staffing levels that evening. I recommend you try.
