We arrived and the staff could not have been more helpful and informative. As a result they received a considerable tip. All the food served was praised by our group as being very tasty and all they could hope for. A great night

The food and service was terrific. Tiffany provided us with great insight about the menu and we loved being able to go to the Prince Wine Store next door to buy 2 bottles of wine. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would definitely recommend.

The adjacent Prince Wine Store as the restaurant’s walk-through wine list is a winner.

Although I thought all the dishes my partner and I had were very good with lovely fresh ingredients the King Prawn and Fregola dish was a little over salty. I feel the addition of Fetta cheese unnecessary and would have been better without it. Very reasonably priced.

I have enjoyed dinners here before. This time I thought the sauce with my fish dish was smothered with capers ( detracting from the dish). Wine selection by the glass is excellent and the French white burgundy was delicious. My friend enjoyed her beetroot salad very much. Great bread.

About the restaurant

Nestled next to Australia’s leading independent wine store, the Prince Wine Store, Bellota makes full use of the massive selection on offer from its sister business. The restaurant brings to fruition a long-held desire to provide a venue that showcases the great wines of the world in a warm and friendly environment alongside beautifully executed food.

Former co-owner and head chef of the iconic Union Dining, Nicky Riemer champions the kitchen with her European cuisine which offers a sense of provenance and brings back flavours that often get lost in modern cooking techniques. This beautiful, honest food lends itself perfectly to the enjoyment of wine.

The casual, friendly atmosphere is at the heart of Bellota. The aim for our knowledgeable staff is simple; try and help you love the wine as much as they do.
