Chef of the year 2018 winner in gault & millau australia, Brian has worked at some of Australia’s leading restaurants including the three-hatted Bilson's, where he was chef de cuisine and executive sous chef, Sean Connolly’s astral, and three-hatted Quay. His career includes cooking at Lindsay House and Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud in Dublin, and london’s two-michelin-starred Pied à Terre under expat aussie chef Shane Osborn. He has also undertaken stage positions at l’astrance in Paris and per se and WD-50 in New York.

    The degustation was such an amazing way to dine and overlooking the river, surrounded by the bush was a perfect setting for the menu. The food is so thoughtful, creative and complex. I loved how relaxed the service was, we never felt rushed which meant we could take everything in.

    Great food, service was a bit slow and wait times per dish was longer than usual, as the restaurant was close to or at full capacity. Otherwise a pleasant dining experience.

    The food and service is pretty good. Specially, some details that make a list. 1. the attendant will use the eye contact with you and try to know the customer what they need. 2. The cuisines is pretty good, the entrees is close to the Japanese style cooking. The kingsfish is very delicious. Amd you better try the Oyster before you have the entree, pick the dressing And natural taste. It just 8 dollars for each. The main course is very delicious steak with the mushroom. The most important things that i have to mention that is the desserts. For me, Because i was allergy for mango And the chef change the chesses plate for me. And the chocolate with the coffee desserts is my favor. 3. The attendant is very good service, even like my girlfriend go to the bathroom, one attendant already introduce the dish, when my girlfriend came back, the manager will introduce for my girlfriend again. It is very nice. 4l beautiful view and boat transport make me relax.

    This was an experience for the senses, they just know how to set the mood from the get go. From the time you receive the menu (which sets the imagination on fire), to stepping onto the ferry and being shown to your table; you know wonderful things await. The food and service were incredible with beautiful drink pairings to boot. Highly recommend if you find passion in the little details.

    Amazing experience from the beginning to the end - starting from the boat pick up, the guy was very lovely and genuine; then were greeted inside the restaurant, the service was impeccable and the foods were excellent; until the end, everything was top notch. The highlight from the 6 course degustation was the beef and the toohey old n malt.

    Just an astonishing menu ! Every course of the six was brilliant, not too much food but you leave satiated. My partner is a fussy eater, but left no crumbs ... much to my disappointment, in any case I can't wait to go back ...

    A bit of a hiccup with the bread being forgotten that could have been handled better... We were given bread plates but no bread. We didn't realise until after we finished the mains. When we checked what the plates were for and the wait staff realised the error, there was no apology and we felt like we were an inconvenience. Otherwise the food was fabulous and the service was generally gracious (bar the bread issue). The guy who operated the ferry was great, his charm certainly added to the experience.

Combining internationally awarded architecture with stunning cuisine and an exceptional wine collection in its unrivalled location, Berowra Waters Inn is a place where experiences become life-long memories. This is one of Australia’s great dining rooms with views across the river to undisturbed natural bushland and towering sandstone cliffs. Irish born chef, Brian Geraghty has reinterpreted the traditional ‘degustation menu’ concept and has crafted a menu of smaller dishes.
