Chef of the year 2018 winner in gault & millau australia, Brian has worked at some of Australia’s leading restaurants including the three-hatted Bilson's, where he was chef de cuisine and executive sous chef, Sean Connolly’s astral, and three-hatted Quay. His career includes cooking at Lindsay House and Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud in Dublin, and london’s two-michelin-starred Pied à Terre under expat aussie chef Shane Osborn. He has also undertaken stage positions at l’astrance in Paris and per se and WD-50 in New York.

    A visit to Berowra Waters Inn was on my to do list. It was a delightful restaurant, staff very accommodating, struggled a little with the heavy accents, water taxi driver so friendly. Food delicious, it was our wedding anniversary, it was a lovely way to celebrate.

    The wet weather didn't spoil our experience at the restaurant. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was fantastic and the staff were great. We will be back.

    We had a lovely day. Being picked up at the wharf to be ferried to the restaurant, and then given a great lunch, accompanied by very helpful service. Delightful!

    An exceptional venue - we were not aware it required a little boat service to get to the restaurant but that added to the experience. We were fortunate to have got The Fork 50% off deal which made it a truly value for money experience. We had the 6-course lunch - all very tasty and beautifully presented. The Chef has clearly given the menu much thought. Service was a 10 out of 10 with great attention to detail. Certainly worth it for a special occasion.

    Would recommend the restaurant but wouldn’t recommend to go on a hot day. It was 42 degrees outside and the restaurant’s air conditioning was extremely weak. You could tell even the staff was struggling. Suggest the owner take this onboard to upgrade the aircon for a fine dining establishment. The heat really distracted from the otherwise fantastic meal and service.

    Amazing service and food. Definitely an experience reserved for a special occasion. You do not feel rushed at all and you are left to enjoy the whole evening with good food and good company. Will definitely go again soon

    It has been awhile since we have been here. It always feels like a bit of an adventure to wait for the little boat to take us to the restaurant. Food was amazing, service was attentive and friendly. The only thing that would have made it better was if towards the end of the evening the insects didn’t start falling onto our tables and cups of water. The staff cleaned it up quite nicely and I guess that’s what happens when you are operating from a river but it did dampen the mood. Apparently it had something to do with the lighting. Would probably go back during the day rather than the night in the future to avoid the bugs.

    It was our 3rd time at the restaurant. Never fails to amaze me, the quality of the food and the creativity of the dishes were amazing. Some dishes I have had before but continue to be outstanding. The 2 waitresses explained the dishes very clearly. I braved the rain to go to the restaurant that afternoon, explains how keen I was

Set in bushland on the beautiful Hawkesbury river and accessed only by seaplane, boat or a short trip in their own private ferry, Berowra waters inn is truly a Sydney icon. Combining internationally awarded architecture with stunning cuisine and an exceptional wine collection in its unrivalled location, Berowra Waters Inn is a place where experiences become life-long memories. This is one of Australia’s great dining rooms with views across the river to undisturbed natural bushland and towering sandstone cliffs. Irish born chef, Brian Geraghty has reinterpreted the traditional ‘degustation menu’ concept and has crafted a menu of smaller dishes. The aim being that you graze your way through a selection of dishes reflecting the best of produce available from the markets and their network of dedicated suppliers.
