Jordan Toft

Jordan’s career began in the Sydney Opera House kitchen in 1997. Moving to Europe in 2006, Jordan ran a luxury chalet in France and became a personal chef. Travelling Europe and the USA, he developed an appreciation for the simplest and freshest ingredients. In 2014 Jordan joined Merivale as executive chef of Coogee Pavilion. Jordan then joined The Newport team, led the launch of Bert’s and The Collaroy, all a reflection of Jordan’s talent for balancing refinement, simplicity and innovation.

I love everything about it! I only have one thing to add. My favourite cocktail is a classic Negroni and i notice the orange that you put in there is literally an 1/8 wedge. Usually and more sophisticatedly I do favour the twirled rind. The wedge presentation lowers the standard for me personally but that's just because I am a negroni connoisseur.

Absolutely felt like I was in heaven, if ever there was a perfect location, perfect decor, attention to detail, service to make you feel so special here is your restaurant. Everyone concerned must be so proud. Food was the best, whole Turbot dished at our table along with extra's thrown in, what a surprise. A memory that will last a lifetime. truly magnificent. Thank you to all the staff who made it such a wonderful experience.

About Bert's Bar & Brasserie

A bar and brasserie reminiscent of the grand hotel dining rooms of the 1930s, overlooking the Pittwater estuary and expansive grounds of The Newport.
