The most amazing Indian food in Sydney! AND in such a Covid safe environment - we felt so safe with great distancing, takeaways waiting outside, sanitiser and QR code. Food is stunning - large generous portions and extremely tasty. Tonight we started with samosas and chicken tikka. We then shared beef vindaloo, lamb saag, chilli tikka masala, daal and eggplant curries - requested medium heat and hot. YUM, YUM, YUM. Garlic and plain naan and rice made the meal perfect. Wonderful service and staff. Looking forward to going back.
The best Indian restaurant in Sydney. The entrees are delicious - we started with the Malai Seekh (succulent ‘kebab’ of lamb mince, infused with herbs and spices accompanied with mint yogurt) and the chicken tikka (boneless chicken marinated with ginger, garlic, yogurt and Bijolias garam masala). The chicken tikka is the best - so succulent, so tasty and my personal favourite (yum) ! For main course we shared with our friends beef vindaloo, lamb rogan gosh, chilli tikka masala and Kadai vegetables (seasonal vegetables cooked with cumin, tomato, fresh ginger and coriander) plus rice and garlic naan. All dishes were delicious with my personal favourite the chilli tikka masala (it's just so good). The naan is also soft and authentic. Service is excellent - warm, friendly and professional. BYO. Great restaurant for takeaway. Worth mentioning, definitely CovidSafe. Thanks to Anibs for another wonderful night where we were all spoilt.
The best Indian in Sydney and now our friends agree! For twenty years we've been going to Indian restaurants in the UK and Australia with friends Jen and Dave. Tonight they finally joined us at Bijolias and the food & warm, friendly service wowed them. Our meal began with the chicken tikka (boneless chicken marinated with ginger, garlic, yogurt and Bijolias garam masala, served with mesclun lettuce and honey- cumin dressing) which was succulent and delicious. We then shared four curries (1) my particular favourite the chilli chicken tikka masala - outstanding flavour. (2) saag lamb gosht with melt in the mouth soft meat and great taste (3) beef vindaloo and (4) Bengali Mustard Prawn Zhinga (a prawn delicacy with mustard seeds, fresh ginger-garlic, paprika and fenugreek) which was extremely yummy. Rice and multiple serves of plain and garlic naan made the meal perfect. We loved every curry - all large portions with lots of meat/prawn and gravy. And I should mention the free corn, grain and nut mix plus poppadoms on arrival. Service was wonderful in every way. The best!
The best Indian restaurant in Sydney. Warm, friendly and efficient service- led by Anibs the owner. And the food is sensational - large, generous portions and really tasty food. Tonight we had (1) the lamb rogan josh - succulent lamb pieces cooked in authentic spices and (2) chilli chicken tikka masala - seriously the best dish - perfect amount of heat and the best flavours. Yum, yum, yum! Naan and rice are a must. I should also mention, pappadums and spice mix are brought to kick start your night - a free welcome gift from the wonderful owners.
Dishes always served with a smile.
Incredible Indian food and warm, friendly service. Tonight we shared curries with my sister, her husband and their teenage kids. We shared rogan josh; chicken jalfrezi; chilli tikka masala and daal - plus garlic naan and rice. Everyone loved all of the dishes - but we couldn't go past the chilli tikka masala which is incredible - perfect amount of heat, juicy chicken pieces and delicious gravy. All of the curries are generous portions. (And, we needed to more - which arrived promptly with more rice - of course we all voted for the chilli chicken masala). Wonderful service - efficient, warm, friendly. The best Indian in Sydney. BYO.
We love Bijolias for excellent Indian food. Tonight we started off with samosas which were enormous - with lots of veggies and extremely tasty (plus served with yogurt and tamarind). We then shared two curries - my favourite the chilli tikka masala. The chilli tikka masala has large juicy pieces of chicken, with the perfect amount of heat (cooked as you request of the chef - mild, medium or hot). And the other curry was the saag gosht which was also delicious and a generous serve. You can't beat the naan (soft, tasty) and of course some rice. The best Indian on the Northern Beaches. Anibs is the hostess who runs this fabulous restaurant - and employs warm, friendly and efficient staff. We'll be back !
The dishes we ordered were delicious! The Zhinga Prawns were my favorite! The food is always great here. I was just disappointed that even though I booked weeks ago I was given the worst table in the restaurant. Make sure you request a certain table in your booking!
Brilliant service and the best Indian restaurant on the Northern Beaches. We've been going to Bijolias for years but this is my first Trip Advisor review. The service is wonderful - warm, welcoming, sincere and efficient. And the food makes it easily the best Indian on the Northern Beaches. All of the dishes are generous portions with fresh flavours, tender meat and perfect amount of spice/heat. We had the Bhuna Chilly Lamb which is Lamb pieces pan sautéed in spicy masala with capsicum, ginger and fresh chillies as well as the Chilli Tikka Masala which is tandoori chicken simmered with roasted onions, fresh coriander, fresh chillies, ginger and shallots. I love the Chilli Tikka Masala - totally delicious. Other favourites of mine - the Saag Gosht - delicately spiced tender lamb in a spinach and fenugreek gravy, Beef Chilli Lime - slow braised spicy beef cooked with banana chilli, fresh tomatoes and lime and the Bijolias Daal - a classical blend of 5 lentils braised with tomato and ginger juliennes, tempered with fenugreek and cumin. The chef will cook according to the heat level you request. We love medium and it's always cooked the way we like it. Great that you can byo.
Very friendly welcome and wait staff. Food was delicious and a little different as well. Have been a number of times and will be going back again!
My husband and I had a very enjoyable dinner here. We have been here many times before over the last few years and will continue to come here. The food is very tasty and the restaurant is cozy.
Very accommodating with late time slot. One of the better Indian joints I’ve eaten at. Staff very welcoming. Food very tasty. Great value for money.
This restaurant is generally a firm favourite. Unfortunately we were very dissappointed with the food last night.
Never dissappointed!! :)
Fantastic service and food!!!
Had not been since changed ownership - did not dissapoint. Happy to say it is back to being our favourite local Indian.
Great food, and lovely accomodating hostess.
This restaurant is so special. The food is delicious, wine is reasonably priced and the service is warm and welcoming. I don’t know the correct names of the dishes we tried, but the lamb cutlets, butter chicken, prawns and seasonal vegetables were spiced for the intensity we requested, and we enjoyed every taste. If you like Indian food, just go.
Fabulous service and warm atmosphere
The best Indian on the Northern Beaches! Our plates were scraped clean! The restaurant was packed, which speaks for itself.

The eatery is open for dinner Monday to Saturday. Try the Papri chutney chat, which are crisp savouries of spicy potato and chickpeas served with mint yoghurt and tamarind chutney.
