We have been here before and we love the food. The food comes out pretty quickly, but this time we waited for our food for around 1 hour. Somehow their waiter forgot to put the order through! We asked around 5 times and they kept on saying the food is coming in 5 minutes!

The dishes were good but they didn't bother to cut the stem off from the eggplants. The kids menu Dosa didn't come with the dips as advertised in the photo.

Best thing was TheFork discount. Thank you! Otherwise definitely not worth it. Nice al fresco with comfortable chairs and attentive service but food and drinks way under par. My wife had a veg platter including spring rolls and commercial tomato ketchup - remember Billu's Indian Eatery is meant to be in Indian restaurant! Anise used in my lamb curry! Menu way too big attempting multi focus on Punjabi and South Indian food and out of control. Wine list (byo only) limited with entry level wines. Not a patch on neighbour The Indian Eatery, nor Chatkazz around the corner, which have menus they can satisfactorily deliver.

Food took a while to get there but was hot and delicious when it arrived. We ordered the Rose Lassi but they didn't have any, but it still appeared on the bill. Swiftly taken off once we told them so no biggie. We came as a group of 4 adults and 3 kids and were given a nice long table in the corner of the restaurant. Air conditioned and very comfy. Would be happy to be back.

Authentic Indian food with great local suburb/family/friends atmosphere. Friendly helpful professional service. Just loved it!

About Billu's Indian Eatery

Southern delights. Named after its owner, Billu’s Indian Eatery in Harris Park first opened its doors back in 1990, shortly after Billu arrived in Sydney. As renowned for its catering service as for its restaurant, its menu ranges across most of the sub continent, with particular attention being paid to dishes from the south. Home of the dosa, a type of pancake made with rice flour and ground pulses that’s typically served with your choice of spicy filling, its inclusion offers some welcome alternatives to the more familiar curries and saags. Billu also prepares a huge selection of Indian sweets in-house, most of which are available to try in his restaurant. The sugary, milky delights of his burffis are what caught our eye, but you’d do as well to try the milk cake or the rasgulla. Surprisingly hard to come by in most Indian restauants, they’re a very welcome addition to the menu here. Best Dish: Masala dosa.
