Great seasonal and smoked foods (and even beverages) Nice selection of sounds ones by the glass. Enjoyed trying the flavoured sodas as well. The smoked pumpkin and corn dishes were flavoursome. We got several dishes then shared them in a group of 5. The pavlova was perfect, melt in your mouth. This was my second visit to adelaide. Brought a guest from Japan. The presentation and service was pretty good too

The people serving us were really lovely, and the food was excellent however we waited long periods for drinks and the waiters seemed to be very confused amongst each other having to continually double check with customers re their order and actually forgot a couple things that we had ordered.

The food was good, however we booked for 9:15 and 2 of the 4 dishes we were then told were unavailable. The music was pop-py and not too bad, however it was loud and the wait staff constantly skipped songs.

About Bistro Blackwood

Bistro Blackwood is Jock Zonfrillo’s lively bistro located in the east end of Adelaide’s CBD, and is the sibling of Restaurant Orana. It serves a seasonally evolving menu with daily specials drawing from the same indigenous ingredients and techniques that are brought to life at Orana. It’s the same style, but more approachable. Bistro Blackwood is a project for the Orana team, a space for the chefs to be creative and use seasonal ingredients from local organic farmers and suppliers, or what their forager has discovered that day. The menu includes bistro classics alongside a punchy local-leaning wine list with an emphasis on lo-fi producers. Guests wanting to splash out beyond the 40-bottle list can order off Restaurant Orana’s 400-bottle spread.
