I have been to Bistro Cocotte several times and have never been disappointed. The dishes are excellent, the service attentive and the atmosphere is lively. The chef came to our table to check that we had enjoyed our meal which was a lovely touch.

This place never fails. The lamb backstrap just melted in your mouth. The owner is a delight to deal with. The wine list is excellent, and we are always able to find something new if we wish.

Servers were attentive but not intrusive, and kept a good eye out for when to serve. Steak tartare, duck cassoulet, and pain perdu were excellent. The French onion soup should have been served piping hot first, and had a bit more onion in it, but flavourwise was still good.

My friend ordered the Duck Cassoulet and it was lacking something; it just, was not tasty. It was pretty average. We were both so disappointed with our meals; it didn't wow us or fill us up. We kept saying how disappointed we were throughout the meal and night. Unfortunately we won't be back. Great service though. If you want delicious French food, go to Felix or Hubert.

Lovely cosy atmosphere with classic French bistro menu. The food is made well & tasty with good portion sizes & a reasonable wine list. Service can be slow as there is only one waiter (on weeknights).

The food and drink were excellent. The intense flavours of French cuisine were presented in dishes with the right amount of food. The service was pleasant on a night that was busy. The noise level in the restaurant was high and prevented easy speaking with our party of four - a quiet night would have pleased us (though perhaps not the restaurant).

Great French restaurant. Service can be slow when it’s busy so I wouldn’t go if you just want to eat and go. Our degustation went for 2.5 hours, and we had to wait 15 minutes for our table to be set up despite already having made a booking. We didn’t mind the wait as we wanted time to chat. And the food was fantastic. Will go back for sure.

About the restaurant

Ah Paris, the city of love. Wouldn't it be nice if you could just teleport there whenever you chose? Well, seeing as that technology is a few years off, we’ve got a venue that can help cure your French cravings. Bistro Cocotte is an elegant French restaurant that is serving fine French cuisine for lunch and dinner. Enjoy a Croque-Monsieur with Pommes Frites or a nice Steak Tartare for lunch, a Truffle & Brie Soufflé or Crispy & Confit Duck Confit for dinner. They also hold frequent ‘themed nights’ (eg: Truffle Night, Cheese, Foie Gras) which are definitely worth a look in. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing meal with friends, family or work mates.

Bon appetit.
