Crispy Confit Duck Maryland with White Beans, Chorizo, Lardon
with Twice Cooked Beef Shank, Pomme Purée & Truffle Jus
This is a restaurant to return to and I consider myself lucky to have it on my doorstep. A little slice of France here in the Inner West. Very welcoming staff, a good menu selection with locally sourced ingredients. A treat of a restaurant, watch out for the pricey wines and consider going on BYO days!
Delicious food, well priced with friendly and attentive service. Would recommend.
Great little restaurant. Excellent food and wine menu, even accommodated my dietary restrictions! Really delicious food, would definitely go again and would bring friends.
I have travelled extensively incl in France [I speak French], and cannot recall having had a better French meal than at this restaurant. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection and the service efficient & friendly. We took a second helping away and booked ahead for Bastille Day. Enthusiastically recommended
Was really pleased with with everything at the restaurant. Food, service and atmosphere were all spot on. We all really enjoyed it, will defiantly recommend it
Lovely food the service however was not up to standard but I would give it another try because everything was really delicious especially the chocolate fondant
Excellent service, the food came out fst too. The food was amazing. It was an amazing date night we have. Will be back again
Really enjoyed the meal & the waitperson was friendly & attentive. Beautiful French food & lovely presentation. The atmosphere was not at its best but that was all down to COVIDSafe limitations not because of the restaurant it’s self! Definitely will return!
Very good fresh food and great service
Wonderful French cuisine. Great value for money & good friendly service. Atmosphere is a little cold but probably due to the Covid-19 regulations.
This was our first time eating at this neighbourhood gem, we went for Sunday lunch. The food was excellent - highly recommend the duck and the pear tarte tatin. The service was relaxed but friendly and quick. Good Pinot available by the glass. We will definitely be back.
This was our first time to Bistro Cocotte and will definitely not be our last. We had the fig salad, a Plat du Jour which was a divine pork dish and a lovely pork belly. It was great to be able to order from a list of French wines too. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Love the vibe of this restaurant - overall a 10/10, thank you
Great French food ! Lovely restaurant , all the dishes were delicious especially the soufflé! The service was nice - friendly and the chef came out at the end of the evening to introduce himself and ask how the food was .
Excellent food and service
Lovely and inviting setting for dinner. The staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful in explaining menu items. The food was wonderful. A generous basket of selected breads, the gazpacho had the right amount of tang, the main of duck was perfect, the pork belly tender and rich. Desserts of mousse and tart tartin were a nice finish.
Again Bistro Cocotte delivers. A warm welcome from the staff who have come to know us and seated in a lovely cosy corner. This time we had my mum visiting and knew she loved French cuisine. Cocotte did not fail to deliver. Starting with a delicious fresh French Chardonnay (the Trenel 2018 Macon Villages - Bourgogne ) I dived right in to the fragrant and very tasty salmon cocotte. My mum had the delicious brie and truffle souffle, which is just to die for, and my husband had the succulent and salty sweet scallops wrapped with prosciutto - lip smacking good!. For mains there was a special on - so i had to have it! Wagyu beef neck slow cooked and served in a small saucepan with a rich shittake mushroom sauce and topped with potato - the ultimate shepherds pie and was mouthwatering intense and just beautiful. My mum had the confit pork belly which was succulent and sweet and perfectly balanced with the pea puree and peach chutney. My husband had the lamb backstrap and that was spectacular with the blue cheese mousse!. To help digest this we had another Trenel switching to a gamay this time (the 2017 Fleurie - Cru du Beaujolais). It was lovely on the palate and perfectly balanced the richness of the meal. My husband and I "had" to have another glass of red as we had cheese for our final plate and the 2017 Chateau de Dracy pinot noir was perfect. Mum chose the creme caramel and we had to help her eat it and it was delicious. As you can tell his restaurant is one of those rare and wonderful finds scattered around Sydney that keeps traditional balanced with new flavours and should not be missed by any one wanting un gout de France! We will be back again.
Delicious French food (cheese soufflé's is so good) and low-key authentic atmosphere. Great neighbourhood restaurant that I travelled from the Eastern Suburbs to have dinner. If you want a super trendy place then this isn't it. If you want classic and low-key this place is perfect.
Really enjoyed our meal - fresh and tasty
Again lovely lunch with delicious food; great wine and service. Walking in - only for the 2nd time - the waiter said welcome back and lovely to see you again! Amazed he remembered and it makes such a difference :) will be coming back again and again!!!
Great place for an occasion with your loved ones. My wife and I both enjoyed their Entrees, Mains & Wine. However just the dessert was a bit underwhelming. Still could recommend to any of my friends.

Ah Paris, the city of love. Wouldn't it be nice if you could just teleport there whenever you chose? Well, seeing as that technology is a few years off, we’ve got a venue that can help cure your French cravings. Bistro Cocotte is an elegant French restaurant that is serving fine French cuisine for lunch and dinner. Enjoy a Croque-Monsieur with Pommes Frites or a nice Steak Tartare for lunch, a Truffle & Brie Soufflé or Crispy & Confit Duck Confit for dinner. They also hold frequent ‘themed nights’ (eg: Truffle Night, Cheese, Foie Gras) which are definitely worth a look in. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing meal with friends, family or work mates.
