Seductively European Wine Bar Even you before you open the Bistro Felix Wine Bar menu, this stylish Subiaco restaurant shows all the classic signs of a European bistro. Seductively dark lighting can’t dull the snappy table settings nor can they hide the vibrant wall of vintage art lining the restaurant walls. Even more impressive than the art is the impressive wall of wine lining the private dining room, dazzling diners with a selection of local and international wines of varying vintages. Charcuterie does not feature often in Western Australian restaurants, so the selection of meats on their menu is indeed a breath of fresh air, as is the raw dishes such as carpaccio, sashimi and steak tartare. Less adventurous diners can sate their appetite on Bistro Felix’s signature dish of whole flounder served with caperberries, toasted almonds and buerre noisette, finished off with a selection of delicate yet gratifying European inspired desserts and cheeses. Best dish: Langoustines with zesty herb butter.
