Sautéed potato and ricotta gnocchi with kalette, goat’s curd, pinenuts and sage brown butter
Pan roasted “Cone Bay” barramundi, crushed peas, brown butter, capers and croutons
Slow cooked ocean trout, shaved fennel and orange salad, asparagus
The food was delicious. Onion soufflé and lamb were both highlights. Wine excellent. Only downer was that our table was squeezed next to the passage to the toilet, and was pretty draughty.
My medium steak was well done Dessert was wonderf as was the pate
Excellent food and service, leave me wanting for more
The staff were super friendly with lots of smile! Areas to improve, floor was very dirty under our table as was the back of the bench seat. I am not sure why they don’t write the orders down and have to demonstrate they can remember it as the steaks were well cooked rather than rare as requested. We also had the wrong food turn up at our table and drinks order missed. Writing down the orders would help solve all of these issues...
The food was delicious but the serving sizes were very small. Not good value for money. The service was inept. They couldn't find our booking when we arrived, brought the wrong drink and we had to ask for spoons when we had all ordered soup.
The food and service were outstanding. It was quiet on a Sunday evening, but still had a nice atmosphere in a stylish setting.
The set menu worked really well - especially the share plate entree
Always great food and pleasant service.
Good atmosphere and decor. Delicious and hearty French fare. Lovely dinner out with friends.
We have eaten here quite frequently, yesterday was equal to the very best.
There service was ok to start with then our waiter disappeared. There was a cold draught and the fire was turned off before we had paid our bill. The food was good.
Amazing service & a beautiful space perfect for a long lunch.
Great to have a young adult menu Felt welcome
The food has always been great at Bistro Mosman. However, the reason for my higher rating this time is the addition of Lorraine as restaurant manager to the team. She has really added something special and is an amazing role model for anyone in hospitality. We felt so welcome and nothing was a problem. We will be back soon! Bistro Mosman has just become a whole lot better.
We love this place, great steaks!
food and wine excellent
Love i this local gem.
Great food Loved the gin menu Although the restaurant was full the service was very efficient Can’t wait to go back
Sat near Pass so little difficult to get service, but always love this restuarant.

76 Middle Head Road, 2088, Mosman, Australia
French foodies can dine in an intimate, and incredibly picturesque, setting at Bistro Mosman on Sydney’s North Shore. The idyllic setting emanates beachside chic, with its nautical stripes, comfy cushions and plentiful natural light, thanks to the many large windows.
Head chef Jon Trouillet creates seasonal menus that celebrate French fare with fresh Australian produce. The wine list, as you would expect from any French restaurant, pares perfectly with its food counterparts – and at an affordable price. Lobster bisque with spanner crab ravioli and pan-fried barramundi are some tasty seafood options while the potato and ricotta gnocchi and grilled sirloin are a few of the hard-earned favourites.
What’s more is there are plenty of weekly deals that make Moncur Mosman even more appealing, especially for working professionals too tired to cook or families who haven’t had time to do their week’s food shopping just yet. Tuesday is Moules Frites night for $35,
Wednesday is BYO, Friday and Saturday boast two-course lunches for $49 and there’s a dish of the day – every day – from $35. Bon appetit.
