We visited here on Sunday over the Easter weekend, looking for a fine dining establishment, Black Fire was open and we were able to book. Firstly, the food was amazing!! This restaurant is definitely in the neighbourhood gem genre rather than fine dining as anticipated. While on the more expensive size, the food was worth every penny. The service could be improved. There was a long wait for the food and between waitstaff check-ins. But i can't reiterate enough, the food was AMAZING!!

Black Fire is a restaurant that has gone downhill. The entrees were very disappointing. Pan-seared scallops were lukewarm and chewy. The crab-stuffed peppers tasted cold and refrigerated. We left after not finishing our entree. We explained our reasons to the manager who kindly refused our offer to pay for what we'd consumed and left. Overall very disappointed in what was a great restaurant.

About Black Fire

“Fuego negro!” Black Fire offers an exciting and innovative take on Mediterranean cuisine. Their dishes are wonderfully well thought-out and presented, inspired by their culture and their love of cooking. Meats, seafoods and vegetables are cooked through an open fire roast. This is the highlight of their meals - it’s incredibly authentic and unique. Located in Braddon, Black Fire is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner so it is perfect for any occasion. Best dish: Arroz Caldoso - King prawns with saffron and pimenton.
