Great steaks - though the table arrangements made us feel a bit squeezed in. Wine list was ok but not great.

This place is great, food is delicious, service is perfectly responsive and not invasive. The acoustics are managed really well in the fit out, so you can hear the conversations at your table! beautiful decor that sets an inviting fine dining mood.

Menu had a great range to cater for full on carnivores or not, with fish, pasta, duck and of course amazing steak. All were great dishes.

The food was great. We stuck to the "firsts" menu, which was the traditional tapas-style small dishes. Unfortunately we were asked to order everything we wanted right at the beginning, meaning a heap of food appeared very quickly. We would have preferred to order a couple of dishes at a time and take our time, as the Spaniards do. The whole thing felt like a bit of a rush - shame because the food was good.

About Black Fire

“Fuego negro!” Black Fire offers an exciting and innovative take on Mediterranean cuisine. Their dishes are wonderfully well thought-out and presented, inspired by their culture and their love of cooking. Meats, seafoods and vegetables are cooked through an open fire roast. This is the highlight of their meals - it’s incredibly authentic and unique. Located in Braddon, Black Fire is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner so it is perfect for any occasion. Best dish: Arroz Caldoso - King prawns with saffron and pimenton.
